I was at the Villa - Arsenal game yesterday and although he started well, Vermaelan took a very nasty looking injury and word is that he could be out for quite some time.

A real shame for him as he has been Arsenal's best defender this season by all accounts.

May have played crap but cup games are all about the result, and eventually we got it.

I have read on afca.nl that there is a chance Ajax fans might be allowed to travel to De Kuip should we play F-Word in the final. Any news on this?

Have heard that apparently there is going to be some sort of boycott from the VAK410 ultras because of an 11 month banning order given to them for taking some fireworks on a bus to Utrecht.

Sorry to sound biased for English clubs again but this is my take on things: I do think England as a country is often picked on by FIFA/UEFA on many occasions because we are an easy target to 'prove a point'. Like Chelsea, this happens at clubs all over europe, and if they wanted to make an example ...

Sparta have put 11 men behind the ball and look, no threat whatsoever, but how many times have we said that in the past and been hit on the break...

That said, whilst Ajax have had the most possesion, we haven't actually done anything with it! Need to step it up a gear to break these lot down...
