FIFA are a complete joke.

I've been going to almost every home and away England games including friendly's since the Euro 2004, and my chances of getting tickets for South Africa are minimal. I will still be going over wether I get tickets or not, but 12% is disgraceful.

I think Ajax have got themselves a good deal if the 13 million is to be believed. Every player has a valuation, and that is more than the case for Vermaelen in my opinion. It will be interesting to see how he does in the Premiership at a club like Arsenal.

Being of the younger generation, I've only known of him through things I've read and seen etc, but he was certainly an Ajax legend.

As somebody else has said, at Twente there is very little pressure on him. It was similar to when he was at Middlesborough.
