Young Ajax in the Jupiler League

A 2-1 defeat . A cross from the wing and about 3 Eindhoven players in the box unmarked. Not much to say about Ajax except most of this team needs another season in the Jupiler league.Ok Sana has to go and Riedewald and Bazoer will become good players .

Andersen seems too lightweight to play in the firsts, Meleg looks ok but not sure his true position.Becker came on for Lobotka on the hour so Andersen went more into MF and Hendriks came on for Meleg but this did not make any difference. de Bondt for El Hasnaoui the other sub.

Vd Hoorn can we have our money back imo V d Boomen was no worse. He is just 19 spent most of the 1st half of the season as a sub for our A1 where he played DM. He has been stuck in to Jong Ajax at CD and looks ok . He surely can only improve.

Ajax overall did not impress me that much but abit unfair as most were of course teenagers.

I just saw the highlights, wow Van Der Hoorn is absolutely horrible!!!
Both goals were his fault, he just stands in the box and not even trying to cover the attacker.
WTF?? The guy knows that Frank De Boer is watching the game, at least try to impress the coach,
it looks like he is not interested in playing for the first team.
And we paid 4 ml for him. A total disaster work by our scouts.

Glad Pablo thinks the same on V d Hoorn. All he has done all season is give away the penalty v Milan and that has cost us probably another 4m on top of the 4m we appear to have wasted on him.

If Moisander goes we will have Veltman and Denswil as Cd but V d Hoorn as the standby. This does not give me any confidence.

I "suspect" that the thinking on acquiring van der Hoorn was that he is big and strong and somewhat quick for a player of his size. Under Stam's teaching he "could" develop into a top flight central defender. Thus far that has not been the case and maybe he does progress to be come the next Ron Vlaar (who is somewhat decent in the EPL). I think he's still only 20 years old and even Stam did not become world class at that age. All this being said, he has not inspired confidence this season. Maybe this will change but it's questionable at this point.

With Serero evidently doubtful and Blind suspended I would have expected Andersen and even Bazoer to be on standby for the first team squad as they only have Klaassen Poulsen Duarte and Schone fit MF.Mind Riedewald was the regularly DM for the A1 up until his great debut in December.

The defence looks poor, de Bondt a winger and V d Boomen and Anderson both were DM mainly for the A1's before Christmas.

Tete the best defensive prospect was suspended the last game so no idea why he is playing tonight.

Andersen only got an hour with Lobotka coming on. Hendriks for Meleg and Barakzai for Becker were the other subs.

We lost 2-0 thats 4 defeats in a row . You can play for Jong and in the Cup final so Kishna can be involved on Sunday.(He could not play in a league game this weekend having played for Jong) He was subbed after 74 mins by Hendriks so wont start on Sunday may be a sub. Acolatse the A1 youth winger came on for Sana on 64 and Bazoer for El Hasnaoui on 46 the other subs used.

Jong about to play Helmond at home but its not on Tv.Given the cameras have been showing the U17's on the same pitch earlier one would have thought they may have shown this game.

Just got home from watching my local team and good to see Jong won .I wonder whether Meleg is worth a place on the subs bench at Heracles this weekend.

With just one game left,this Friday,it is about time Ajax decided on those players with expiring contracts ie.El Hasnaoui and Becker of the starters and 2 of the subs used Lobotka and de Bondt (Hendriks being the 3rd sub used)

One other thought looking ahead to next season ,Ligeon V d Hoorn and Andersen have played regularly for the Jong this season but will they want to next season.Andersen has already said he does not want to and the other 2 will both want to play regular first team footy next season, even if its not at Ajax.

Congrats to Willem ll who are promoted as champs. Branco V d Boomen may well join them as thats where he came from.

2-0 down at HT Vincent Vermeij who left Jong Ajax in January has scored both goals for them.

Finished their season last night with a 3-3 draw in Tiel v non leagueTEC.Just a friendly workout with players like deBondt Vd Boomen Barakzai and Bitter all playing their last game in Ajax colours .A real name from the past as a 2nd half sub was George Ogararu. He is evidently at the club doing his coaching badges but really odd to give him 25 mins for Jong Ajax.

They have been back in training for 2weeks and tonight are playing a friendly v Hollandia and it was 0-0 at HT

Wont bother to list players as there are 22 playing in 2 halves. Just to say Lukoki is now with Jong Ajax until he leaves. In addition we have a 18 year old attacking midfielder from Cape town on trial and playing a half. Haaskim Domingo.

They have about 6 friendlies listed for this month but the squad will be reduced as the likes of Lukoki Gravenberch and Boccara, all loaned out last season will leave.

Beat Hollandia 2-0 tonight goals by Hendriks and Django Warmerdam another midfielder just out the youth and waiting to sign a contract.

Jong beat Wilhelmina 9-0 last night in Weert ,(a few miles south east of Eindhoven) V Kessel scored 5, Lukoki Boccara,Acolatse and V Koesveld 1 each. V Kessel Lukoki Boccara and Gravenberch all were out on loan last season and can leave this summer. Domingo the 18 year old midfielder from Cape Town played again.

They beat Den Helder amateurs tonight 5-2 with V Kessel and El Ghazi scoring 2 each and Bakker the other. Fairly meaningless game as some are still to leave and tonight a guy called Barakzai played but he was released this summer having played few Jong games last season.

Barakzai did not play( did think it odd his name quoted as playing) but Domingo the youngster from Cape Town played and another trialist who played for 45 mins was 17 year old Montenegro striker Nikola Vujnovic. He plays in Serbia's 3rd Divison!!

Final friendly today and a 0-0 draw with Jong Zwolle,the likes of Lukoki,Boccara,V Kessel and Gravenberch all played.They can all leave this summer,the rest of the team today all lads just out of the youth together with 2or 3 who are still in our A1 youth.

They had a friendly cancelled last week and Jong Utrecht due to be played next Monday is cancelled so next up is 11th August Telstar ,the first Jupiler league game of the season.
