Yeah, that's probably why they're admitting it now: the sales of Kalou and Kuyt have more or less stopped the bleeding. It is no longer a 'red alert'. But fact is that they don't have any money and that most of the transfer fees for K&K was necessary to stop the bleeding. They won't be able to buy top quality, which means that they can prepare for a seriously crap season.

I've just been watching the Eredivisie highlights from the weekend and wanted to ask - has anyone else got a favourite non-Ajax strip this sseason?
Mine has got to be the Umbro Willem II dark blue away shirt (even though they lost 5-0 in it) but I do like the AZ home shirt by Quick as well......

Yeah, me too. Groningen's tops are pretty sweet.
Dont mind this season's Barca shirts and actually came across FC Basel which looks like the barca tops, but slightly different colour.

To anyone who can read Dutch..., do read the Feijenoord Forums about their response to signing our Harry. It is better entertainment then a whole season of good football!

3 of our closest rivals have helped themselves. Harry is a physical center forward( Jaap get ready) , Kromkamp helps PSV's defense and is versatile enough to play several positions , and Donk should help AZ .
The only saving grace is those same clubs have also been hit harder by recent exits than Ajax. Kalou, Kuijt , Bosschaart(ADO?)out at KC; Landzaat, Mathijsen, Ramzi at AZ, and VoH and Beasley(Sporting Life says so)at Bulb City.

Easy they have all played for Ajax...damn i'm a smarty, my mom always said so :yes:666 schreef:AZ: Shota Arveladze
PSV: Fatrick Kluivert
F-Word: Angelos Charisteas
What do the strikers of our competitors have in common?
By the way Stam can run over Charisteas(Physical ?? Not). Kluivert gave us a champions league trophy, but his time is up. I rather have Stam ;) and i bet the PSV fans would rather have him too  instead of Kluivert.
If you take a close look the one Striker we should really be afraid of is Arveladze, he's been a goalscorer his whole career for whatever team he has played for and he has kept on doing it in Alkmaar. Kluivert is a freaking pandoras box who has rapidly become the Mike Tyson of dutch football, can he score ?? sure he can, but can he put every aspect off his life together and get back too top form ??? I really dont know but i must admit i'm a little skeptic. What about Harry??? i really wouldent worry about him, F-word are the fucking Titanic and they are already sinking, Harry's miracles ended in Portugal two years ago.
Dont worry people nobody has the HUNTER!!!!!!!!! only we do ;)

Of the three, I'd say no to Kluivert and yes to either Arveladze or Charisteas. Either one or the other, but not both. Both = a much slower strike force. If Grygera returns to fitness, it would really help the d against any of the triplets.

Well at least Yannis scored though Obodai did his best to cancel it out by giving away a penalty at the other end. Just watched the highlights of this one and it's very odd seeing Harry in a Feyenoord shirt :nooo: .Kowalczyk schreef:So, today it's Yannis vs Chari, a.k.a. the 'battle of the Greek Ajax strikers as part of the Rotterdam city derby between the city's #2 (Sparta) and #3 (f-word) clubs. :D
Should be interesting and I guess this is the moment for Sparta to beat them!

Also spotted evidence of Feyenoords English fan club - right behind one of the goals was a large George Cross England flag with "SAFC Feyenoord Mackems" written on it (Mackems being the nickname for Sunderland supporters) :pukey:

Well you're probably right on the second two but Obodai's tackle looked bad to me (but then perhaps that's why I'm not a referee?)dws schreef:That was a good tackle by Obadai
Sparta should have had a penalty for a handball by Drenthe  .......could have been all square at a stage of the game in which Sparta were dominating

Injured his knee in a clash, not sure how long but I'm guessing he'll be out for few weeks.Kowalczyk schreef:What happened to Kluivert? Anything serious?Steef schreef:And you forgot to mention that Kluivert started the game....and went off injured within 20 minutes.
