Bande returns from a loan in Croatia and Magallan from Anderlecht,neither club wanted to exercise the option to buy.Both have a year left of contract so we can let them go for nothing this summer.17m wasted.Pierie also returning from Twente.He has 2 years left of contract but again we paid 5m and will get nothing much for him. Overmars made some bad buys.

Max De Waal Young Ajax striker who went on loan to Zwolle back in January, has signed on loan for ADO for the season.He still is under contract to 2024 but is not good enough to break through for our 1st.

Max de Waal needs to give it his all if he is to have any chance of a return to Ajax. If he scores goals galore and proves technicality in this KKD league then he may have a chance, but its slim.

Daramy looks like going back to Copenhagen on a years loan , with no option to buy. Doesn't look like he is anywhere near ready for our 1st team and again we should not be signing players like this for 12m. If fit VA Dongen and Hansen are probably better.

Daramy was a total panic buy from Overmars last summer. We missed out on the player we were after who ended up in France.

Daramy would be great playing against teams who play a high line of defense. He's got pace to get behind defenders, but Ajax almost never gets that space.

Gorter is to spend the rest of the season on loan with Aberdeen in Scottish League. The lad needs to play football so hope he gets it in Scotland

Salah-Eddine has been getting a lot of playing time at Twente, most of it in the MF. I haven't seen many of their games to make any judgement of how he is doing.

The commentator in the AZ game called him a “smaakmaker” which I guess translates to something like standout player. I haven’t seen enough games to know myself, either.

Salah -Eddine being discussed on Showtime .The article was about what a rubbish player Wijndal is and many fans saying S-E should have been Blind's back up getting playing time . Most want him back next season.

Huntelaar was in Denmark over the weekend to talk with Mo Daramy who is on loan. He's apparently having a strong season there and wants to return to Ajax.

Looking at goals scored it's more 2023 that he started to hit form.

Youri Baas looks like going on loan to NEC , Unuvar to Twente not yet confirmed but these 2 lads need 1st team football and hopefully will benefit from loans.

According to reports, Fitz-Jim is extending his contract and will then be loaned out for the season. Excelsior was mentioned as a possibility. He needs extended first team playing time in the Eredivisie.

Good news Fitz-Jim has extended his contract to 2027 so both he and Ajax see a future.He is on loan at Excelsior for the season and I hope he gets plenty of playing time Last season Salah-Eddine and Unuvar went out on loan and got little real time just subs. I do wonder whether Unuvar has made the right choice at Twente .

Will be interesting to see how F-J gets on.

I wonder if Rasmussen or Salah-Eddine will get loaned out.

Rasmussen back to Denmark on loan at Nordsjaelland. Very strange we signed him up to 2027 as unlike Fitz-Jim I dont see him coming back.

Wijndal goes to Antwerp on loan for the season ,which is no surprise. With Blind still our no 1 his signing was daft at the time.

Looks like Ajax and Excelsior have reached an agreement for Fitz-Jim to return to Ajax.

Just came here to post the Fitz-Jim news. Not sure if he has put on muscle to play DM or if it doesn't really matter and that he'll be better than all the options which we currently have.

Not sure he is good enough but he is no worse than Tahirovic . Ajax brought in Mannverk Tahirovic both promising players but no better than our own . V D Boomen is ok but not special.

Are we sure he’s going to play DMF? Where did he play at Excelsior?

I’m wondering if he will replace or compete for Taylor’s spot.

IMO he is a poor defender. He is very good on the ball and has a very quick pass to open players and in this regard better than anyone else on the Ajax roster other than van den Boomen (who has his own limitations).

Over on the Dutch side they report Forbs about to sign on loan at Notts Forest.Ajax have indicated they will let him go but we have zero back up at wings. Godts still out and V A Dongen hasn't played since Cadiz.

Forbs has basically speed and not much technique but surely we should give him the full season.

PS Now on Ajaxshowtime .

Evidently no real talks about Forbs loan going on.Surely we would need to sign another winger first.

Rulli seems the only other player who can be sold.Ajax wanted Avila and Medic out but both have played for 2 clubs which makes it very difficult.Avila sadly now has a cruciate ligament injury and likely to be out for most of 2024.
