I hope they will put Ziyech on the bench and bring in maximum 20 minutes against Sturm Graz in case he's still around.

Darren Sidoel,Jong Ajax defender whose contract has not been renewed,has joined Reading in English championship on a 3 year deal.Pele Clement joined them last year.

Mees de Wit, a winger released from Jong ,has signed a 3 year contract with Sporting Lisbon. With Boultam going to Italy and Sidoel to England ,these are the type of players who would normally stay in Holland and join an Almere or even Sparta or NEC. They are getting better deals abroad even though they were not good enough for regular Jong games.

Of the Jong players released just Alblas and Leeuwenburgh the goalies are not yet fixed up.

A rumour today Besiktas want Siem de Jong and have offered 2m .Ajax want 3.5m!

He was very important when with us before but all those injuries at Newcastle may have caught up with him as he has struggled since his return.

We should sell him as he is only going to be a bench warmer.

Barca now saying they will wait until the end of August and let Frenkie play in the CL qualifiers. They say Frenkie will join them for 50m if not next month then next summer.If we dont qualify for CL groups they clearly believe we will sell this summer.

This is underhand and time for Ajax to report Barca. England and Italy transfer deadlines close 9th August,pity all deadlines dont close then

2 players to get rid after long loans are Owusu ,contract to 2019 and El Azzouzi,contract still to 2020. Owusu has interested de Graafschap and has played Jong friendlies but El Azzouzi has played no friendlies and I have not even heard his name mentioned.Crazy that at 19 he got a 5 year deal and within 6 months has spent 2 and a half seasons on loan.

I quoted Italy transfer deadline as 9th August like England but its 18th August.Pity as this means we keep hearing of Roma's rumours of who else they want to buy from us.Neres quoted this week but Overmars told them sod off but in any case he is valued at 50m.

Let's hope Overmars keeps his courage up. Neres is a decent player but not worth 40M. Roma must be spending all their CL money this pre-season.

Roma not coming for Neres and no offer yet made.They may offer 40m which is what they wanted to pay for Malcolm
but could find someone cheaper.

EPL transfers end next Thursday, Italy on 18th August,big relief when those dates go by and we have not sold anyone .
Barcelona buying Vidal and have indicated they will look to buy Frenkie next summer,ready for 2019/20.

Meanwhile de Graafschap buy Leroy Owusu who has been out on loan for the last 2 seasons.El Azzouzi,who has been on loan for last 2 years is evidently injured so we may be stuck with him,crazy he was given a 5 year contract to 2020

Norbert Alblas Jong goalie is signing for NEC.His contract ran out this summer and he is the last of those released to get a club

Latest news from the Spanish press is that Frenkie de Jong will transfer to Barca should Ajax fail to qualify for CL. Since the transfer window in Spain does not close until the end of August (I really wish UEFA would harmonize the transfer window among all the Euro FAs) this is entirely possible. I have not seen any valuation listed. Ajax have said that Neres is not leaving this year and it also does not look like de Ligt is going anywhere either. Since Bonucci has moved back to Juve, there is less of a chance for him to move there which was one of the bigger rumors.

I have not seen any mention of Ziyech suitors this week at all.

You know which paper published this? The paper that you could refer to as "the Spanish Sun".
In Spain they are making up a lot of stories now Overmars is refusing all bids on De Ligt and De Jong.

Barca say they will pay 50m .If we get to the play offs Kiev away is 28th August so back home on 29th and you have 2 days left so dont see any transfer of Frenkie.

I think it's a lot of nonsense as well. Barca have already purchased three new MFs and even if the loan for Andre Gomes is completed they still have a deep MF bench. de Jong might get to play in Spanish Cup matches but no way he sees much other action.

English deadline closed no Ajax involved ,next up Italian deadline next Friday.

If Holland's deadline closed tomorrow Ajax could just say no more sales as we cannot buy anyone.

Italian transfer window closed last night so the only major leagues with open windows are Spain, France, and Germany. They all close on August 31. Other than the persistent rumors of de Jong to Barcelona, it looks like everyone else will be with the club this season.
