Could have done much worse. Real, Lyon and Zagreb I think is kind of do-able. We need to get results against Lyon and Zagreb. Might as well put out the B squad agains Real. Special one might be banned when they fcae us though.

I'm pissed off now. Malmö lost 4-1 in Zagreb but won 2-0 at home in the return. They were one goal away from going through and believe me, had chances to do so.

Ajax could have been visiting near to my home.

No complaints about the draw given that we had a chance at ending up in Group H against Barca and Milan. Group A looks like the Death Group and ManU again get really lucky with a weak group.

Not too bad of a draw. Chance for a rematch with the Spaniards and we ought to be able to beat the other two.

Thank god we didn't get Inter (or any other Italian team). That are always depressing matches.

I don't remember the last time I watched Lyon (or another french team...), but from what I've heard, it must be the weakest team since we beat them in 2002. So it's probably the best moment to play them again but they are still the favorites. But to what extent? I really don't know...

It all comes down to the first match against them in the ArenA

Tough draw but could have been worse . This morning I was certain we would get the best team in pot 4 Dortmund.

Just glad we didn't end in Inter's group . Trips to Turkey and Russia...yikes. The ArenA groundskeepers have their work cut out for them. Must make the pitch nice and soft for Ronaldo to dive on. As for the group, just glad we didn't end up with Dortmund .

If ever there was a reason to reinforce our squad, like the Eredivisie isn't enough, we can get results enough to make the Europa League, or, if results fall right even second, with a bit more talent added.

Not as strong as they used to be. They got raped by other teams for their players but were paid well for it (sound familiar?). With our luck I thought we would get Barca, Milan and Dortmund in our group. Would have been good for the TV rights money and viewing schedule though.

Not the best draw we could have got.
Easiest draw for us would have been: Arsenal, Villarreal, Ajax and Otelul Galati.
but tough draws throw up surprises too!
Fingers crossed.
And hopefully this will get the board spending on a new center half.

we could finish 2, 3 or 4 depending on how things break. My only wish is for FdB to put the best lineup on the field for each match so that we have a chance to play good football. He needs to get over his infatuation with Siem and put Anita in the midfield. I would also sit Janssen and start Serrero so we really would be attack minded (but WTF do I know?).

I think its hard for FdB to be fair, we see the game and judge the player on the performace, and make comments or statements on what he should have or should do, but he has to deal with the players day in day out.. egos, sulks, friendships etc.. aswell as seing the player everyday on the training field.
Although said that.. i completely agree with what you put! haha

Look at our last game... We play real madrid, by that time, Real madrid would have qualified. Ajax have such a great chance!

Lisandro the star striker of Lyon picked up an ankle injury in the 2-1 against Montpellier. Apparently he could be out for between 3-6 weeks.

Got to see Lyon v. MHSC before power crapped out yesterday. Montpellier looked unlucky not to have got something at the death to finish with a point. Like the club name : Montpellier Herault SC .

Real look scary good so far today. It pains me to say anything good about Generalissimo Franco's fave bunch , but truth is what it is.
