Great stuff, Kaiser, glad to see someone taking my call up earlier in this thead seriously.

We've been moaning about our strikers for about a long, long time. And for a reason, but let's be honest: when you moan, you have a moral obligation to admit it when things change for the good.

Rosenberg: 5 goals in his past 6 games (8 in his past 11).
KJH: 3 goals in the past 4 games.
Harry: on the bench, but 7 goals out of 12 appearances so far.

We have absolutely no reason to complain about our strikers at the moment.

So... let's moan about the defenders! ;)

They're easy to recognize: they're the ones wearing their report marks on their backs: 2, 3, 4... etc.

It's funny how it never fails to bring the very same question to my head when we're talking about defenders. And I bet you know what kind of question it is...... The kind of question that people don't discuss in Andalucia these days :nooo:

Yes, I must admit that this is quite OK, but with Wesley Sonck back in the squad we would not need any of those players.

How about the Limecat's hot friend? He's not happy either, as you can see.

Huntelaar may very soon be a full international. Van Basten has selected him as part of his provisional squad for the game v's Ecuador.

If you listen carefully you can already hear the people moan in Eindhoven and Rotterdam: "Yeah right, he joins f**king Ajax and 'automatically' gets selected for Holland!"

And they're right! ;)

Love it. :headbang:

KJH should be in the squad but I still would rather not see Maduro and Urby in the squad just yet.

Maduro yes, Urby No. problem is that the dutch are not stocked in left backs, Van Bronckhorst is the only quality left back ( Or Tim de Cler :D ) Of course Urby has the quality but lacks the maturity meanwhile Maduro has been a U-20 captain so he does have some more experience.

Urby isn't even Dutch (heritge speaking) and sometimes we play 3-4-3 good for Klaas Jan.

Hopefully he will build on this at Ajax and continue to score and do well

Urby was born in Amsterdam and therefore is Dutch, heritage has nothing to do with it.

Zoef - a lot of people could take what you are saying the wrong way. Please think before you type.

Urby is DUTCH, end of story.

Dont worry about it , just trying to point out that sometime people can take words the wrong way and come up with differing conclusions. All the best.

Zoef, does he have surinamese heritage, or is he maybe from the netherlands antilles? is he as Dutch as kluivert, seedorf, gullit, landzaat, rijkaard, menzo, davids, maduro, v.bronckhorst, van't ship etc

It's just an interesting comment you made, i'd like to know where his heritage lies?

Yeh I believe he's from the old Dutch Guiana or Suriname, however his name "Urby" is what interests me.

It's common for Surinamese-Dutch people to have english surnames such as Nigel, Jeffrey, etc. Urby, if history serves me right, is an old Norman name, which is quite interesting.

Clarence Seedorf, Bryan Roy, Clyde Wijnhard, Stanley Menzo, Lloyd Doesburg, Winston Bogarde, etc.

Before we invaded Suriname it was occupied by the english. And when they kicked us out again, we traded the place for Manhattan.

That's ancient history, but they're rather america minded over there. And the neighbors west of the Corantijn River speak english.

I guess Urby fits the family name.

On the one hand I would like to see KJH and the others stay home and recuperate from a (hopefully) long season. On the other hand that would make the Dutch WC squad a lot less interesting to follow. I'll leave it up to boss San Marco.
