Good news for Dutch u 19 . They beat Germany 3-0 and qualify for the Euro championships in July .

V Rhijn and Ebecilio as sub were the only Ajax again .

In last nights 2-1 win over Mexico Anita made his debut . He has not made the WC cut so Steks
V dWiel and de Zeeuw are our players in Oranje.

European U19 next week and Holland have 4 Ajax players.

Ebecilio, Jozefzoon, Sneijder,and V Rhijn . Bonevacia is only standby even if he might make the Ajax first team squad!!!. Having said yesterday that Bizot was the no 1 goalie( he was in fact sub for the last 2 games) he must be injured as he was in the last 22 for training but not in the final 18 or standby.
Castillion and Burnet were injured at the end of last season otherwise they would have been in the sqaud.

Not sure if he is still injured but he hasn't played since about Feb so no chance of him being in this U 19 lineup. Jong play 2x friendlies in the next week so we should know if he is fit then.

Castillion is recovering from an op so not yet fit .

Dutch U 19 have played 2 games in the European Champs. Sunday they lost 4-1 to France with just Sneijder and Ebecilio used as subs.

Last night they beat England 1-0 although England had a goal disallowed which looked ok.
I watched the second half and wasn't impressed with either team. Several English players have played in the EPL and all have played at least at Championship division level.The 4 Ajax players have hardly played at Jong level !!! V Rhijn was right back and not very special and Sneijder was left back again nothing special but he is a midfielder.Both played 90 mins . Ebecilio came on for 20 mins but didn't get much action and Josefzoon came on for 5 mins and actaully looked lively.

Just one point again. Roly Bonevacia is not good enough for the Ducth u 19 but is in the Ajax first team sqaud at present and could well be when the season starts . Odd.

not on eurosport but Dutch U 19's lost 1-0 to Austria , with a late goal and are not in the semis and thus not in the WC , evidently the last 4 qualify automatically .

V Rhijn and Sneijder(left back again) played 90mins and Ebecilio was a sub . Bizot had been injured but was called in as a replacement but did not play .

France v Croatia and England vSpain for semis. England drew with the last kick of the game v France but would have gone through on goals scored in any case . From an Ajax point we had 2 players who played regularly and one of those , Sneijder, a midfielder was played at left back .I only watched one Dutch game and was not impressed with any of the players.

With only Steks and Greg playing v San Marino in the 5-0 win there was only 1 Ajax player in the Dutch U 21's 2-1 defeat to Spain and that was Daley Blind . Padt was sub goalie. The U 21's are now in a playoff group for the U21 Euro Championships.

Should have added last month in a Friendly Blind was also the only Ajax player . Doesn't look as if we will have any others playing at this level this season ! And Daley will be in our Jong team only !

As I like to mention U19's we did have several in a 2-2 Friendly v Germany .
Ligeon ,Bouy,started and Veltman, Koppers, Klassen and Lukoki were subs.

I think they have already fully qualified by winning the group. This was the only match they lost. Also there maybe other Ajax players when they play in the finals as Anita, de Jong (as well as his Twente brother), Donald and van der Heiden have all played with the squad during the qualification round. Edit added: yes there is a playoff to see who the final teams will be in Denmark but I don't think the draw has taken place yet.

On the ball Orange they had qualified already and this was their only defeat .

In both games this season so far Donald and Vd Heijden were picked in the original squad but did not make the final 18. For this week's game several senior U21's were rested as they were on yellow cards .
As Anita and Siem have been involved with the full Oranje already this season I am not sure whether they will play at U21 level but as you say they are eligible so Holland may well use them if they get to the finals.

Going down to U17 level there are 3x U17 ints this month and only 3 Ajax players , Leewenburgh ,Gravenberch (aka Panka) and Kuipers in the 22 man squad with 2 others Rosheuvel and Lazic on standby .(Lazic's older brother was with our Jong team last season and is now at Dordrecht.)

Van Velzen , who has just left us to join the scum aka Man U is in the squad . Our B1 team lost 4-1 to Twente yesterday and clearly are not going to be in the same class as last seasons.

Nb. Van Velzen is a left winger but would he have been first choice in the B1 as Kishna, aged 15 is a whole year younger and rated better. Someone on that Netwerk site states he will get a contract in the new year when he reaches 16 .

Meant to post the Int v Finland was a case of which Dutch players do not have an Ajax connection . With Lens and Eliah having been at the world's greatest football academy that made 9 from our youth plus KJH . And for good measure the Finnish squad contained Pasenen Tainio and Litmanen. Not bad for a little club from Amsterdam.

The Dutch U 19's lost a friendly 3-1 to Greece with Veltman, Koppers,Klassen,, Lukoki, de Kamps and Bouy playing .

Dutch U 19 squad for European qualifiers next week have 8 Ajax out of 24 players.

Hahn , Ligeon, Koppers, Veltman,Klaassen, Bouy, de Kamps, Lukoki.

It is interesting to note that Lukoki, de Kamps and Veltman do not have contracts and Bouy is the only one who has played for our Jong team but Fworders Castaignos, de Vrij , Martins Indi are playing for their first teams and Labyad has played for PSV .

The Dutch U19's play 3 European qualiers over the next 2weeks and having posted the original 24 man squad they have today announced the final 18 for these games and there are 5 from Ajax.
Hahn, Ligeon , Koppers, Bouy and Lukoki . They have list 13 on standby with Klaassen, Veltman,de Kamps and Boere from Ajax.

The Dutch u19's have 3 qualifiers over the next week for European championships and in the 1st game they beat Slovenia 2-0 with Lukoki scoring one of the goals .He was a sub and Ligeon who played all the match the other Ajax player. 3 unused subs from us Bouy, Klaassen and Koppers.

Hahn our A1 goalie has dropped out the squad with injury but Klaassen originally standby has replaced PSV Labyad in odd circumstances. Labyad was in the squad and I believe travelled with the party but having decided to play for Morocco he was pulled out the squad only a couple of days before the first game and thus Klaassen is in the squad.

Obviously the main Ajax in Oranje this week will be the senior team but I do like to see the progress of our youngsters at junior level .

I will get on my soapbox again and say the 5 from Ajax should be playing at Jong Ajax level as clearly they have talent and hopefully Lukoki will get a contract ,if he does not then questions should be asked of those in charge of our club .

PS I am sure one or 2 of you Dutch guys must have a laugh at me an englishman who voices his opinions on our youth . The only youth players I want to see succeed all belong to Ajax and I really do not care about english youth at EPL clubs.

Good to see KJH getting the goal in Oranje's 1-0 win over Moldovia. Steks, Vd Wiel played the full 90 and Urby came on as a late sub .

Bad news for Holland U 21's. They lost 3-1 at home to Ukraine in the first leg of the playoffs for European champs . Blind did not play and neither did our 2 loan players Vd Heijden or Padt .

Finally good news the Dutch U 19's won 3-0 v Malta and look certain to go through to the next qualifying round in their European Championships. Ligeon and Lukoki played a full game and subs were
Koppers,Bouy and Klaassen.

Bad news for Holland U 21's. They lost 3-1 at home to Ukraine in the first leg of the playoffs for European champs . Blind did not play and neither did our 2 loan players Vd Heijden or Padt .

I think they missed Siem de Jong today as he is a talented finisher at this level. The Jong team lost a goal by van Wolfswinkel right before the half when he was wrongly called for a push. Krul was shaky in the goal giving up the ball on a shot that he should have caught but spilled. Maybe they had too many Feyenoord players who reverted back to their club form. Cabral was decent but came on too late to have an impact. I doubt they can overcome the deficit in Kiev as they now need a 3-0 victory. Too bad as they had some spots of decent play.

On the minor Oranje front a 2-0 win for the U19's v Slovakia and they are through to the elite qualifying round of the Euro championships. Ligeon and Bouy played all game and Koppers and Lukoki
were subs.

At the U17 level ie our B1's there are 3 European qualifiers at the end of the month but only 1 Ajax player Bojan Lazic in the squad and 3 others only standby Leeuwenburgh,Kuipers and Rosheuvel.This clearly seems to be a poor year for talent at this level for Ajax.

Didn't happen. It was an entertaining match and we won 2-0 but could not get the third goal. Our former youth player Goosens got the 2nd goal. Most of the Feyenoord players (who did not distinguish themselves in the first match) were on the bench to start the match and Bruma didn't even make the traveling squad. Blind and Padt stayed on the bench. Out of the Euros now.

Bad luck for the U21's having won today but losing 3-1 at home was the death knell really .Pity Siem and Vurnon were not fit as both would probably have played both games .

Anyway the senior team are having an easy ride 4-0 v Sweden at present with KJH scoring 2 so far .

Ints coming up at all age levels

Steks, de Zeeuw and V dWiel are in the prelimary squad for the full Int on feb 9th v Austria Urby has also got in there but over half the 25 players came from Ajax as usual.

U21 play Czech Rep and Blind, Jozefzoon and Ebecilio are in the initial squad plus Sergio Padt , on loan in Deventer.

Finally at U19 level for a game v france 7 out of the 18 are from Ajax , Hahn , Koppers, Ligeon,Klassen
all of whom have contracts plus Lukoki, Veltman and de Kamps all still without contracts .(Off the top of my head at least 6 of the other 11 players have already played eredivise games .)

Ajax really are painfully slow with giving out contracts to the youth this season !!!

U21's next week have Blind and Ebecilio in the 18 and Jozefzoon only stanby . Padt is one of the 2 goalies but Krul ,the other is coming up 23 so Padt looks like he will be the main U21 when they start
playing in 2013 European qualifiers at the start of next season.

Good to see Oranje win 3-1 with old boys Sneijder and KJH score. Steks and Greg played.

The U21 lost 1-0 to Czech Rep with Blind and Ebecilio in action.

There were Youth Ints at U16, U17 and U19 this week and in both the U16 and U17 only 2 Ajax kids in each although Kishna the best talent U17 was missing injured. We do not appear to have loads coming through at those ages at present .

However the Dutch u19 is another matter and in the 1-1 draw in France ,Veltman scored the goal with
Hahn ,Ligeon,Denswil,Bouy, de Kamps, Lukoki all playing and Koppers and Klaassen ,originally in the squad but injured . We clearly have talent at this level however lets see how they develop as apart from Lukoki's brief appearance v FWord none of those 9 are even playing regularly at Jong level yet .

Dutch U 17 playing Euro Championships and games are on Eurosport

Today they beat Germany U 17 2-0

In the Dutch squad only 2 Ajax players ,forward Gravenberch sub today and goalie Leeuwenburgh but de Bondt a winger who is about to join us from Vitesse played . (For Denmark, Fischer ,who is also to join us shortly scored a goal in a 3-2 win over Serbia. )

There will shortly be U 19 Euro qualifiers and in an initial squad of about 30 TEN from Ajax.

Hahn, Ligeon, Denswil, Koppers, Dijks, Klaassen, Bouy, de Kamps, de Sa, and Lukoki.
Basically only Ondaan and Boere of our regular A1 team are excluded.Hope these games are on Eurosport.

I only watched the second half and after they withstood some pressure from the Germans, the Dutch team did quite well. Defended ably and created some attacking possibilities. I though de Bont looked good on the wing.
