Speaking of bets, I have one with Jeff from the Hortus Hotel. He's a life long Ajax supporter, but he thinks that AZ are gonna clinch the title this year. Of course I told him that they were going to collpase around March or April and that Ajax would be champions. 20€ are on the table :)pizza 5 schreef:Yo Ko,

I have been *cough* lucky enough to see 3 live Feyenoord games this year on ESPN Pacific Rim. Bloody hell. How are these guys on top? They play so poorly. Against Sparta, Ajax and Twente. All these teams should have beaten them.Kowalczyk schreef:HAHAHAHA - nice one, mate.ZoefdeHaas schreef:I regret saying this but Feyenoord are gonna get the title this season... X'C
We will have to look down to wish them Merry Christmas, is what I say.
No shit.
K.
I am probably answering my own question above, but without Kalou and Kuyt these guys wouldn't have a chance. If i didn't have a lot of respect for Kuyt, i would ask some dodgy defender to take him out for a few months, then we will see how "good" feyenoord are. The other problem is here, we need him in the Dutch team...damn you Feyenoord!

We will be proud of this guy in nearest future... He must get a chance to play 90' in few games in row, and I am sure that he will be good replacement for Steven Pienaar (if he will leave Ajax). Do you remember Olympic Games? Rosales was one of the best player and I think he didn't forget how to play and how to score the goals. I say it one more tikme: we must wait...

That is true, but the reason that he lost his spot in the Argentinian National team was because of the coaching change the former coach Marcelo Bielsa played in a 3-4-3 formation thus being Rosales perfect for the team but the new coach Jose Peckerman is a more traditional coach using the clasic 4-4-2, its a strange situation in Argentina, with Bielsa players like Saviola and Riquelme would not play because they dident "fit in" the team strategy but now players like Rosales and Marcelo Delgado are the ones left out because of the same reason.ZoefdeHaas schreef:He even was in Argentina's main squad before during their WC qual. games, and even scored once. That is, before he got injured.

I'm afraid I agree. Sadly, I think Argentina might finish second. Although Holland has a better chance then most people think.Carcajou schreef:Brazil's sooo going to win the WC...aveslacker schreef:It must be nice to have so much talent as to be able to leave players like that off your team...
And yet I daresay that Brazil's second team is nearly as talented. :worshippy:

They are actually prety good in defense the real problem is that they need a dominant striker, Crespo is the only one they have right now. Just look at Brazil: Ronaldo,Adriano,Ronaldinho,Kaka,Robinho,Julio Baptista,Ruben Oliveira,SHiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!!!!!!! Talk about ofensse and thats leaving out the eternals Roberto Carlos,Cafu, and the up and coming Cicinho...No doubt the World cup is theirs too loose......

I really would like to have as "shit" defence in Poland (and maybe in Ajax). Look: Gabriel Heinze, Walter Samuel (he is on the best way to return to good form after his "adventure" in Real Mardid), Gabriel Milito etc. Also defensive midfielder Javier Mascherano is a big star. So they are not as bad as you said. They always have a good squad and they always are favourites to gold medal, but they don't have a luck in important tournaments such as World Cup. But I think they will be very dangerous...ZoefdeHaas schreef:Argentina have a shit defence like Ajax, so I don't think they'll go far as people think

Venezuelan Ajacied schreef:Mark mi words Argentina will win the World Cup in 2014 wherever it might be...Why you ask???? Some kid called Lionel Messi will be 25 years old, This kid is the next Maradona trust me, at age 17 he is just amazing :worshippy:.
Isn't he 18 now? Anyway, a great footballer with a huge future for sure. I watched him yesterday as Barca played Zaragoza. He showed some of his skill and flair, but as a sub he didn't get enough time to really shine.
EDIT: But there has been lots of 'new maradonas'. None of them has lived up to that yet. I don't think it's fair to the kid to be compared to the greatest player ever.
Has anyone seen the Limecat?
