Contracted just before the transfer window closed: Teemu Tainio, Finnish midfielder, ex-Auxerre, ex-Spurs, ex-Sunderland, ex-Birmingham.

The 30 year-old penned a one-season deal. It's a 'performance contract': Ajax will pay him for every actual performance (Mido has a similar deal).

Martin Jol worked with this guy at Spurs.

I don't know him, by the way. Heard his name before, but that's about it.

Can't say I know that much about him either but I think he was a Premier League regular at least for a while - checking on Wikipedia (which is at least usually reliable on playing stats) he played total of 88 games for the 3 mentioned teams including 61 for Spurs.

I used to love him down the Spurs, not the best player in the squad but someone you can always rely on to try his best. Imagine a slightly less talented Lindgren :P

Sorry for the late post...was on vacation He scored once against the dutch national team in a qualifying match. I dont have a problem with the lad coming to A-dam but we do have a lot of players in that position including some players from our youth team but given all the games we will be playing i guess you can always add some extra depth to the squad.
