Not CL but we get Union Berlin in Europa League. This will be tough as they are having a good season but with the useless coach we have I dont see us getting through.

It was as good a draw as we could get. I've not seen them play this season but they did concede five goals to Leverkusen yesterday to knock them out of first place. PSV drew Sevilla who are having a horrible season.

Porto got ko'd by Inter so if Sporting get beaten by Arsenal tomorrow then Holland will just about be certain of finishing ahead of Portugal in this years coefficient table.(Benfica would need to win the CL and our remaining 2 teams beaten tomorrow)This means Holland will have 3 teams in CL in 2024/25 ,2 of whom will qualify direct the group stages.

NB Just read if Sporting are beaten by Arsenal then Holland will be certain to finish ahead of Portugal ,Benfica winning the CL wont make any difference.

So come on the Gunners tomorrow.

There is also a chance if Feyenoord and AZ make long runs, we can overtake France.

Good grief just checked Feyenoord score and they are 7-0 up after 80 mins .

Curse Arsenal could not beat Sporting 4th in their league.I think both Benfica and Sporting would have to win all their games and the finals to overtake Holland .Hope they get difficult teams in todays draw.AZ and Feyenoord have done superbly well and hope they get easier draws. The longer Feyenoord are in Europe the better for Ajax as well

Feyenoord get Roma but Sporting get Juve then Manu in semis .Benfica v Inter then Napoli or Milan in semis so Holland should be ok and finish ahead of Portugal.

Holland are only just behind France so if Feyenoord or AZ continue to win they could be 5th in the coefficients.

AZ get Anderlecht so they should get to the semis as Anderlecht are having a moderate season in their league

Feyenoord's win and both Portugal sides losing means Netherlands now are 6th for certain in coefficients for next season.This means next season the top 2 qualify direct for CL in 2024/25 and 3rd place in qualifiers.6 clubs then in Europe and not 5. Great performances by all the Dutch sides this season to overtake Portugal.

For what it’s worth, I thought Feyenoord were lucky to win and AZ were unlucky to lose. I can see AZ getting a win or a draw in the return, even if they don’t turn the tie around.

AZ won 2-0 after extra time and won on penalties so are through to semis of Conference . Brilliant performance by Az to get to semis.

I know I am not allowed to want Feyenoord to win anything but they are representing Netherlands and hope they ko Roma and Mourinho.Any win in Europe by a Dutch side is good for the coefficients and more places in Europe and this benefits Ajax.

Just read that if Roma beat Sevilla tomorrow and win the Europa League and retain 6th place in the league after Sunday's final game we will take their place in the group stages of the Europa League.

I did read the article, a bit complicated, but evidently we must all be Roma fans for a week!! This will be difficult as I loath Mourinho and I have never been a fan of Italian football .BUT if it means Ajax gaining then I will hope for Roma.

Thanks for posting a summary SPL. I read the first couple of paragraphs and lost track of all the puzzle pieces.

Trying to be look on the bright side Europa League might be a good thing next season. Better than scraping 4 or 6 points together in a CL group.

I think Liverpool are also on the Europa leage

I think Europa League is just right for us next season. Team rebuild continues and gives a chance to some of the kids (Hato, Vos, Van Dongen etc) to experience European games without the CL pressure.

Agree Europa will be right for us. We would only play 2 qualifying games in late August but would be nice if Roma do us a favour.

Sevilla win Europa so we will have to play 1 qualifying round in Europa ,last 2 weeks of August.
