Players Leaving Ajax

Apart from Bergwjn the press and fans debating which players signed this summer should be sold in January. They seem to overlook that you can only play for 2 teams in a season.

Gaaei, Mannsverk,Sutalo,Avila, Mikautadze have already played for 2 teams, so unless Mikautadze returns to Metz,which I have seen rumoured , these 5 will remain.

Apart from Ramaj and Forbs who will stay, the other 5 who could be sold will have to be assessed at the winter break.

Only 3 players need to go, where we have 3 for that position

We cannot have 2 back up strikers so unless Mikautadze returns to Metz Akpom has to go.

At 6 we have Vos but dont need both Tahirovic and Mannsverk.

Finally with Kaplan on the way back Avila, who does not want to play LB, will be completely surplus but we are stuck with him for the season.

Easy for me to post 3 need to be sold but all signed 5 year contracts and getting rid will be very difficult. Akpom will be the only one easy to sell as plenty of clubs in England will pay 10m for him.

Good catch on the playing for more than one team rule. That certainly restricts which players can be sold.

I think that water changing into wine is a miracle...but it makes you wonder what these UK clubs actually see in Taylor!
Ajax are going to look bloody stupid if they ditch him, cheap, and he turns out to be good!!

I think Taylor a MF good enough for a mid table side.I read the EPL sides interested and laughed.He shows little for us,had one good game v Vitesse but they are poor .

Taylor might be good enough next year for a mid-table team, but 100% not as a defensive MF. He's terrible at defending.

Metz want to take Mikautadze back on loan. He should never have been signed and is 3rd choice striker. We should let him go back on loan getting playing time and evaluate him in the summer. Akpom is ok as a sub striker and we can always sell him in the summer back to EPL .

French football press sate Mikautadze will go back to Metz on loan .Crazy signing as we already had 2 strikers. Lets hope he scores a few goals and we can sell him in the summer.

Dont think too many players will leave next month.If we bring in a no 6 surely Tahirovic can go even on loan. Big problem of course is defence.Ajax will have to unload all the summer signing dross next summer if they can.

Mikautadze goes back to Metz on loan with an option to buy of 15m. May end up a good player but pointless signing as 3rd striker.

Another likelihood of potential loss..looks as though Arsenal are setting up a deal to take yet another Ajax developed centre back to the Emirates!! Hato is being tracked..
It seems, develop them young, provide the base for a gradual development and you're ok, but thrust them into the team, with the captain's armbands, at 17 and you've lost them before they're old enough to drink!!

At best we will keep him for 2 years but faced with Conference football next season he may want out this summer.We should have just eased him into the squad this season whereas now we have the situation Ian posts above.

This summer with a 1 year youth contract we will get 20m max but with a contract extension we could ask 40m to 50m.

We could do with the max to make up for our losses on poor signings . Mikautadze option to sell is 10m ie 6m loss plus salary.Last year Ocampos cost us 7m .Thats 2 players who barely played and cost us 14m or 15m

de LIgt was a far stronger CB at his age than Hato is right now. Maybe Hato gets stronger in the next couple of years but right now there is no way he can play in the EPL at CB. As with almost everyone else at Ajax, he is poor at defending free kicks coming into the box and that's one area you absolutely need to be strong at in the EPL (and for that matter every other league). Ideally he stays at Ajax for at least two more seasons after this one. Ajax should offer him a good salary increase and have a candid discussion over his transfer prospects and what a potential release fee might be. Selling him this summer would be for a very cheap amount.

Agree with Orange14 on this one. Hato is amazing for his age, but he's looking even more advanced because we have drastically lowered our expectations of the entire team and he looks miles ahead of the rest of the crew.

There are definitely things he can improve upon and if he's smart he stays with us another 2-3 years at the very least.

Agree with last 2 posts. de Ligt at 17 probably could have managed EPL but Hato is not ready . I look at him as a left footed Timber and although he is badly injured at present I have doubts that Timber will make it at CD in EPL.

Hato has said he has not finished developing at Ajax yet and I expect a contract extension.Ideally we want him to sign to 2028 so in 2026 we can still get a big fee.

On a lesser player Idumbo Muzambo is leaving for Sevilla. Signed for free in 2021 having already been at 2 pro Belgium sides.Going for money so good luck to him.

West Ham fancy Bergwijn but have to sell first.Evidently other EPL teams are interested.If we can get 25m plus we should sell this month but only give to mid January as we dont want him sold on the 29th and we have no time to get a replacement.

We will soon be overloaded with MF ,Henderson,Tahirovic,Taylor,Hlynsson,F-Jim, Vos and even Berghuis who is more a 10 than a winger.Add Mannverk and V D Boomen and Misehouy thats 10 when only 6 or 7 are needed.

With all our own youngsters we did not need Tahirovic and Mannsverk.Both may in time turn out fine but we did not need 2 promising DMF when just 1 experienced one was needed and now signed.

I dont think so many of the Mislintat players were poor just some inexperienced and no more promising than out own ie Godts is as good as Forbs,Gooijer as good as Gaaei, F-Jim and Vos as good as Tahirovic and Mannsverk.

We paid too much for backup players like Avila,Mikautadze,Forbs and Akpom.None were going to be starters and we should have got them cheaper,certainly for less than 10m each, although in Mikautadze's case not at all for a 3rd choice striker.

Dont want Akpom sold ,a good pinch hitter and can stay until summer.

Misehouy evidently no longer allowed to train with 1st .He has reported he still wants to stay but Ajax now testing him ie sign and you stay in the 1st team squad. Loads of posters moaning he has not been given his chance this season but he was injured from mid Oct returning just before Christmas.He went to Spain ,now training with 1st and on the bench.He still does not sign and until he does Ajax should not bother with him.Call his bluff!

100% agree with SPL about Misehouy. Putting him back into Jong Ajax is the right thing to do. He wants to play in Ajax 1 to increase his payout this summer. If someone really wanted to extend, they would've done that by now.

Jorge Sanchez is moving back to Mexico's Cruz Azul on a permanent transfer. €3M is mentioned as the fee with some add ons to follow. Ajax would also like Porto to take over Canceicao on permanent basis but that has not been settled yet.

Leverkuesen have offerd 3m with 2m bonuses for 18 year old U18 defender Dies Janse. Ajax have said no but the Germans rate him highly. They want him in their 1st team squad next season. The times I have seen him he impresses and should now be playing regularly at LCD for Jong. It seems like he will only play for Jong next season and has Hato and even Kaplan ahead of him.

He comes from Zeeland and joined from Sparta in 2020 so not a local. Think he will become another Botman

Rumour Bayern want Bergwijn and still talk of Akpom going for an offer of 15 to 20 m. In the summer sell but we cannot sell these 2 with the deadline only 48 hours away. We could end up spending on 2 overpriced new players again. We signed enough of them last summer.

English clubs usually wait until the last 2 days before buying so I still see Akpom going. Hope we dont buy anyone.Rijkoff is coming although final bits to be decided.He is back home in Pummerand awaiting transfer but he will play with Jong.

Honestly, I'd be ok with Bergwijn leaving. Akpom has actually produced a lot in his sub appearances.

Forbs at LW isn't any better or worse than Bergwijn. Forbs actually has pace, which is something Bergiwjn doesn't even possess. Both are below average at crossing and at beating the opposition defense.
