With no Holland at the U20 WC or U21 Euros they are at the U19 Euros final next month and we have 5 players .Bakboord a full back,Kemper central defender,Lang and de Wit midfielders and Nunnely a winger. Dilrosun ,who left us for Man City is in the squad.

Eiting had a falling out with the coach and Sierhuis injured.

U19 Euros start today Dutch play Germany at 18.00CET game on Eurosport. Bakboord, de Wit and Nunnely start and old Ajax Dilrosun ,now Man city starts.

de Ligt ,Kluivert and Eiting all in our 1st team squad and Sierhuis coming back from injury would have made it a very strong squad.

0-0 at HT .pretty poor game and neither side playing very well.

Dutch won 4-1 Piroe PSV striker a hat trick and Grot of NEC the other .I was on the phone for nearly all the 2nd half so just had the game on in the background. Would never have thought we would have scored 4 v Germany.

England next and then Bulgaria ,Dutch need to finish 2nd in the group to go to the semis.

U19 lost 1-0 to England with a late 85 min.goal.I didn't see the game but 4 Ajax played again. Germany beat Bulgaria 3-0 so we need to beat Bulgaria on Sunday.Our GD is currently plus 2 better than Germany. Would be great to knock out Germany.

There are about 15 players that were not released by their clubs for this competition. Both de Ligt and Kluivert would be starters.

Orange u19's actually lost their semi 1-0 to Portugal on Weds .

Don't know if anyone noticed but France also only managed a 0-0 with Luxembourg after mauling Oranje.

Just a brief round up of Ajax kids in youth Ints

U21 played 2 qualifiers for 2019 EC drew 1-1 with England and lost 2-0 in Scotland .Frenkie de Jong our only player,Kluivert dropped out injured

U20 played 2 friendlies 3-0 loss v England and 1-0 win v France. Eiting, D de Wit,Zeefuik, Bergsma,Savastano ,Mazraoui from us.

U19 in a 4 nation tournament lost 2-1 v Belgium ,drew 2-2 vPortugal and beat Finland 9-0 .Kemper,Nunnely,Lang, all contracted with goalie Plomper and defender te Heide both uncontracted.

U18 beat Denmark 2-1 and drew 1-1 in friendlies Bakker our only player


U17 's to play in a 4 nation v Israel Italy Germany with some great Ajax names. J Maduro(twin brother G dropped out injured) Reiziger,Musampa,V Gelderen,Llansana,Douglas,Sint.(Think Musampa is a nephew but others not related)

More Ints in early October and Dutch prelimenary squad for Sweden game includes the return of Huntelaar,plus Veltman ,v d Beek and de Ligt.

A quick round up of what our youngsters have done. The players I listed last week from U18 to U21 all played .

U21 beat Latvia 3-0 and drew 1-1 with Ukraine ,Kluivert got the goal.Plenty to do to qualify for 2019 Euros.

U20 lost 2 friendlies 1-0 v Germany and 1-0 v Poland

U19 qualify to the elite round of U19 2018 Euros. 3-0 vMalta,2-0 v Hungary and 2-2 v Slovenia .They finished top of the group

U18 drew 0-0 v Austria in a friendly

Nb. U17's with 6 Ajax only started their 3 match 2018 Euro qualifying group yesterday with a 3-1 v Kosovo. Redan ,who left us for Chelski last summer scored all 3.

Oranje u17 reached the next qualifying stage for 2018 Euros.Having won their game v Kosovo 3-1 they then lost 1-0 to Hungary but beat Wales 4-0,Redan scoring one. Of the 6 Ajax kids only 4 were used in the games.

2 weeks without Ajax ,but plenty of Ajax in Ints.

U18 in a 4 nation tournament Bakker ,Botman Ekkelenkamp.

As I said last week Ter Heide Botman and Ekkelenkamp all without contracts but all regulars in our U19 and now youth internationals.

Nb other Ajax 1st teamers on international duty,Schone Dolberg Wober Ziyech and Johnsen (not strickly a 1st teamer) Younes dropped out the German squad with a knee injury

A very moderate 1-0 win by our seniors with just Veltman appearing ,as a sub, but Frenkie and Justin both scored a goal in the U21's 8-0 win over Andorra in the U21 Euro qualifiers.Frenkie was evidently the star player. They are now 2nd in their group behind England.

U20's beat Switzerland 1-0 and Sierhuis scored the goal,one of 5 Ajax playing. U19's beat Italy 2-1 with 3 Ajax although Donyell Malen ,who left us for Arsenal but now back in Holland with PSV,scored a goal. U18's the only loser 4-1 to Czech Rep and only Ajax player Bakker as a sub .

A comfortable win for Oranje in Romania and nice to see Donny gets a debut.
So Ziyech Younes Schone and maybe Dolberg will be the only Ajax in the World Cup, if indeed they are still with us then.

Just to round up other ints (dont suppose anyone is interested but Ajax is all about Youth and its nice to see who is playing for Youth Ints teams)

U20 lost 1-0 to Italy but de Wit and Eiting played and Sierhuis ,who scored the winner in the 1st game,was only a late sub. (Savastano didn't get a game ,the only Ajax in all the squads who didn't appear.)

U19 beat Serbia 2-0 just Ter Heide and Kemper played.

U18's, having lost their 1st game, then beat Ireland 8-0 and Belgium 4-1.Bakker played all 3, Botman and Ekkelenkamp the last 2 .El Maach, our U19 goalie, played the last game having been a late replacement

The Dutch U17's qualified for the U17 Euro finals winning their elite round group and with plenty of Ajax help.

2-1 v Iceland,2-0 v Italy and 2-0 vTurkey. 5 of our kids played ,the Timber twins (were the Maduros) ,V Gelderen,Brobbey and Llansana a midfielder who scored vTurkey.Musampa a defender did not play.

Good for Holland but not for Ajax the star was Redan,now sadly at Chelsea,who scored both goals v Iceland and 1 v Italy.

Redan missed the 3rd U 17 game yesterday as he had to play for Chelsea U19 v Real Madrid U19's in the U19 CL.

He scored 2 and made another in a 4-2 win. Big loss losing him.

Ints week .Not sure why friendly full ints take place at this time of the season. Does anyone want them?

U20 v Czech Rep. in a friendly. Eiting ,v Bladeren,de Wit,Sierhuis,Bergsma. Zeefuik also included.

U19 3 qualifiers for Euros. v Norway ,Scotland and Germany . Group winners to the finals ie.Germany!!
Nunnely and Botman the only Ajax and Botman has no contract. (Bakker Lang and Kemper who are just starting in Jong Ajax not good enough!!)
