Fire up Shareaza and KCeasy - 7 P2P networks in 2 clients!

Ready to download:

- Patriots vs. Eagles;

- Patriots vs. Carolina;

- Patriots vs. Rams.

And of course the riots at Northeastern.

And the halftime/pregame/postgame shows by Janet Nippleslip & Justin, Shania Twain, U2, Aerosmith and Nsync etc. Bon Jovi, Wacko Jacko with a bunch of kids back in '93, Santana + Beyonce, Stevie Wonder & Gloria Estefan.

Dixie Chicks raping the star-stained banner, Mariah Carey doing the same, and Cher and Whitney and Faith Hill too.

No Paul McCartney, but Doc can grab the Pepsi commercial with Britney et al. and the superbowl episodes of Friends. If he's not sick of anything remotely superbowl-related by then he can even download all the superbowl viagra/bud lite/AOHell/etc commercials.

Disclaimer: downloading a superbowl game or halftime show may be legal in third-world countries like The Netherlands and Canada, but in The Land Of The Free the RIAA/MPAA/XXAA will put you in jail for a hundred million years. I'm not responsible for anything you do.

Ha, nice banner. But there's no oil in Manchester ;)

Speaking of live music... saw some good performances myself recently. The Hives at the big day out (music festival) get full marks for entertaining antics even though I'm not a big fan of their music. Lots of humourous conversation with the crowd etc. Also good were The Music, John Spencer Blues Explosion, John Butler, Dallas Crane and Regurgitator (not sure if either of them are known outside Australia).

Top of the list was definately System of a Down's sideshow at Festival Hall. Holy crap, talk about high energy, sing-along mayhem. The setlist was a blend of all out headbanging material, passionate vocals-driven rock songs, and a couple of slower tracks to let everyone get their breath back. Very highly recommended for anyone who likes heavy-ish music...

For those who wants to win completely nothing: I'll start a new music quizz at 5 p.m. [local time]

You have to listen to some fragments and tell the name of the artist ant title of the song.
Some songs are dutch, but if those get named by an AjaxUSA-talkie he gets 1 bonus point.

Are you talking about the Rendezvous "Experience" (like the Heineken Experience, but without video screens)? No, not too late! C'mon! Read up on it here: Ajax USA's 5th Annual Rendezvous in Amsterdam

Yeah, I'm taking about the "experience", I'm effin going this year even if I have to sleep on the street!

I received an email from you and will send Menno some money for the ticket. The thing was that I just came home and heven't been able to do it until now. Will get right to it though. I think I'll be coming down on the friday or saturday. Not the ideal situation but it's still something.

Cheers guys.

I feel sorry for soccerpages...like an old friend left abandoned outside...

Anyways, about the superbowl: I too desperately wanted the Eagles to win. But McNabb was poor, Westbrook was poor, even though Owens was surprisingly sound. The problem lay in a tired defense towards the end, and no running game. Let's hope, though, that they can build on this, that they now have some superbowl experience behind them for the next time (and hope that the Patriots won't be in the final next time round, because they are a class act - they are solid and wear you down).

Didn't rate the Paul McCartney thing though, except for the "Live and let die' song - they should have had that as the finale. And even I got patriotic at the anthem at the beginning - and I'm not even a yank!

No doubt who the more talented of the Lennon/McCartney duo was. Why is it that Lennon got shot six times and Yoko Ono, who was right next to him, didn't take one single bullet?

Life just isn't fair.

Does anyone have an idea on why the hell was my France flag was confiscated by the ArenA yellow guard dogs during the Ajax-Den Bosch game ??

They didn't give me a single reason, and the flag doesn't have any advertisement or harsh message..... That really pissed me off.

Was it a flag on a stick? dont know for sure but they might see that stick as a potential weapon. Also, the flag might block the view of other spectators.

I dont know it for sure since I hardly [and sadly] can go to Ajax but you can hang the flag on a fence, but who takes care of it afterwards i dont know.

I had the pleasure of seeing Eek-a-Mouse, Agnostic Front, UK Subs, The Donnas, and (And you will know us by the) Trail of Dead on my trip last week to Amsterdam. Would strongly recommend any of these acts live. All incredible in their own right.De Melkweg had one hell of a week. For those who will be on the March tour, catch a show there if you can.A great venue...my second favourite of all the clubs I've heard music in ;behind only The Trocadero in Philly.

Yeah - De Melkweg is kind of cool. The Paradiso is even nicer, tho.

During 'our' week in March David Crosby & Graham Nash will be at De Melkweg, by the way. Already sold out (very exclusive show in a 1,000 capacity venue), but I'm sure Ticket Unlimited can help... (if you're willing to pay).

More old-timers during the Ajax USA trip: CCR's John Fogerty at the Heineken Music Hall (two shows, 21st and 25th).

No it wasn't..... And besides I had brought it about 3 or 4 times before.... If they begin to remove all the flags and stuff, the atmosphere is going to be even more dull....

White players urged to black faces to fight racism

The president of a Spanish club wants his white players to paint their faces black to combat racism.

Angel Torres, of Getafe, made the call after racist chanting at the game between his club and Barcelona, reports Sporting Life.

Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o and Ronaldinho were the victims of taunts in Getafe's Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

Torres suggested the Getafe squad showed solidarity with black players by painting their faces black for their next game.

"I have spoken to one of the club captain and I am certain that the players want to take measures to fight against racism," he said.

"I will ask them to paint their faces black before they go onto the pitch next Sunday."

Getafe striker Gica Craioveanu said: "I have no problem with doing that, but I don't think we need to do anything quite as drastic."

He believes a special match should be staged to help combat racism and to raise awareness about the problem in Spanish football.

"Neither the team, nor the players, nor the Getafe fans are racist," said Craioveanu. "I think a game against racism played in the Santiago Bernabeu would be a better idea.

"We all have to stop this now, starting with the most important players from every team."
“If I wanted you to understand it, I would have explained it better.”

Ref sends himself off

A football match had to be abandoned after the referee sent himself off.

Andy Wain accepted his own red card for squaring up to goalkeeper Richard McGaffin in a goal dispute reports The Sun.

Andy, 39, said: "It was totally unprofessional. If a player did that I would send him off, so I had to go."

The incident came 63 minutes into a Sunday league game between Peterborough North End and Royal Mail AYL.

McGaffin, 25, disputed the goal that gave Royal Mail a 2-1 lead, claiming a player had been fouled.

Andy threw down his cards and whistle and stormed towards the goalie. He then calmed down, called off the match and walked off the pitch.

Lorry driver Andy, blamed his bad temper on the death of his father-in-law the day before the match, his wife being diagnosed with cancer - and then discovering just before kick-off that a friend had died of a heart attack at the age of 38.

He said: "I was finished after that and with hindsight I should not have officiated."

He added: "I heard the keeper say 'It's always the bloody same with you ref, we never get anything.' It was the last straw. Fortunately I came to my senses."

He later apologised to the local FA who are reviewing his position.
“If I wanted you to understand it, I would have explained it better.”

Some music talk...

I saw Bright Eyes play live at the Utrecht Tivoli yesterday evening - and I thought it was absolute crap. The guy is so talented, but on stage he behaves like an annoying little brat who wants to be a rock star and produce noise.

Very disappointing. Just listen to his records - and don't bother to go see him live.

White people in black face? Seems to me this was done in the 1920's and 1930's in the US. That way people of color weren't hired and non-caucasians didn't find work in places like Hollywood . Put another way, it's a symbol of the racism . So, protest racism by bringing back one of the vestiges of it. Anybody know if the person proposing this idea was drunk or stoned? What's next? Bring back separate water fountains ?
