Ajax friendlies

Ajax have announced they will travel to the US during this season's winter break to play in the Florida Cup! Other teams may include Sao Paolo, Wolfsberg and Bayer Leverkusen. I may have to take a trip down to see my club!!!!

I might make a trip too. Trying to figure out how to 'sell' this trip to my wife.

Yeah we love Miami - Orlando has never generally been on our list of places to visit. Some of my friends love it though.

As long as global warming holds off for six months, Orlando should still be above sea level!!! Average temperature in January is about 16C with a range of 9C (night) to 22 (daytime). Lots of tourism because of Disney World and Universal Studios. they have a large stadium for 'soccer' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orlando_City_Stadium that seats just over 25,000 and a bigger American football stadium seating 60K. I assume these games would be in the 'soccer' stadium.

It would be cool to have a meet up!!

Ajax are playing a friendly, away to VVSSB, over 20 minutes gone and Ajax are 0-2 up Teun Bijleveld scoring both goals! This guy has to be on the fringes next season. Gravenbech is on the bench

Ajax won 7-0 away to SSVVB. Sierhuis and Bijleveld with a brace in the first half. De Wit with one goal. In the second half huntelaar and Bande with a goal each. Minor oppositions. But it was nice seeing the kids play, Gravenbech provided an assist. Botman, a defender looks like he has potential

IIRC De Ligt, Onana and Van De Beek joined a couple days late since they were probably playing international friendlies.

I didn't mention Schuurs or Bande as I've not seen either play. I confess that I was impressed with Matusiwa yesterday but that was one game in a match that was not meaningful from either side. I haven't seen much of Jong Ajax this

Schuurs is definitely word seeing.
Today at 7.30 pm Dutch time Ajax will play a friendly against Anderlecht in Amsterdam in the Olympic Stadium.

Game will be on tv so streams available.

Jong Ajax lost 5-3 to Anderlecht reserves this afternoon in de Toekomst.Sierhuis 2 goals Ekkelenkamp the other.Bande has picked up an injury and seems as if he will be out for 2 months.

I wont bother to get a stream tonight ,will follow it but friendlies are just practice games.de Ligt is not playing has a minor foot injury and just resting as a precaution

Lost 3-1 Orejuela gave away a penalty, poor defending and Wober I think lost his player who made it 3. Not very convincing.Labyad nothing special and the only 2 players I liked the look of are 18, Dutch Bakker and Schuurs.

Wing position is a problem .Labyad and Tadic are not wingers and I am not sure when Cerny is fit.Johnsen played 10 mins but not sure he is ready.

We certainly need to keep de Ligt and bring in Blind as the other defenders today are not special ie just the 2 18 year olds looked ok.

Actually, Dusan Tadic can play on the left flank. I agree Labyad is too average. I hope Carel Eiting gets a chance as a defensive midfielder. At the moment I am hoping Cocu signs Siem de Jong for Fenerbahce, I am dredding having him in the team in the coming season, he is such a liabilty

Can't see why Siem is still playing in such good teams. He wasn't a good midfielder back in the day, let alone now! Maybe as a striker...

Just reading comments about the wing.Tadic can play left wing and Cerny is nearly fit enough to play and will cover right wing I agree Labyad is a waste of money 6m .Dont see him getting a game in MF and he is not a genuine winger.

For the same amount we could have bought Babel back.Yes you will laugh but he plays on the wing and has done well in Turkey.

Biggest weakness in the team is RB .Mazraoui is a Mf but still looked better than Orejuela last night.Kristensen appears to have been written off by the fans already. These 2 signings have cost us 10m and a waste of money. They are no better than Zeefuik who has left.

At LB we now have Tagliafico,Blind can cover and Bakker looks like a good one for the future.
