That's not a bad idea at all. I propose a $75M release clause and 5 year contract as the opening offer.

If Ajax manage to buy back Brobbey, which is highly unlikely, it would be encouraging for other players to stay e.g. Onana, assuming his 12 month ban is upheld.

Unfortunately I think Onana is gone. That seems to be the vibes coming out of Amsterdam. Crappy way to finish such a great phase for him and Ajax...

Ajax look to be buying Go Ahead Eagles goalie Jay Gorter.
Seems like Leipzig wont sell Brobbey back and although I would live with it if we paid 7m max to keep him but really I do think it would be mad if we paid for him.He has messed us around for a year and should just go to Leipzig.
Talk of Wijndal and Boadu of AZ being bought but these are with Raiola I believe and so we should never touch them. Gravenberch should be the last Raiola player at this club.Once he goes we should never deal with Raiola again.

Not sure what the deal with Brobbey's move back is. This is following the regular Raiola soap opera. Also, I don't know how we would stop players from signing up with Raiola. It's probably illegal for us to have an official policy which talks about singling out players who sign up for a particular agent.

That is probably not what will happen.
Kotarski will leave, Scherpen will go on loan (to PEC Zwolle?) and Ajax will buy Gorter as a young promising prospect who can compete with Stekelenburg and Pasveer.
The idea is that he will step up to a higher level and will get more challenging and higher quality of training every day.
He will not grow to a higher level quick if he just safely continues doing what he is already used to do for an extra year. Also for Gorter training at our grounds will already feel pretty safe as he has been in the Ajax academy for 4 years.

That might well happen - but he's going to play in Jong Ajax for the entire season. At GAE or another Eredivisie club, he'll face better opponents than he's been facing until this point.
We all hoped that this plan (training with better keepers and staff) would work for Scherpen, but it sadly hasn't.

Apparently we have agreed upon a price with Brighton for Scherpen - €5M.
Also, we seemed to have agreed to a price with Nordsjaelland for Sulemana - €15M. ManUre and Leverkusen were also after him based on rumours.

gorter signs from go ahead eagles until 2025. I believe he kept a clean sheet in 25 games in the 2nd division. let’s see.

big news today. we have officially approached f-word for Steven berghuis. he has a 4 million release clause in his contract. he would bring creativity into our team and has expressed his interest in joining Ajax a few months ago. I say go for it.

At 29 it's not one for the (long term) future, but nor was Tadic I guess.

I guess Berghuis is a short term replacement for Neres. He is left footed as is Antony. The question the becomes which one of them plays on the left side since both are right wingers.

We have signed Joey Roggeveen a 23 year old goalie from Volendam on a free for 1 year.He will join Jong Ajax but can only play v the other 3 x Jong sides. Very odd signing.

EPL is the only place this will happen. All the other teams are in financial difficulty. Even Guardiola said ManCity are not in a position to buy an additional striker but I wonder if they move Sterling that will be the case.

Berghuis signing today , 5 m with bonuses max 6m. A good reinforcement as Neres seems to be going this summer.
