van Basten spent €16M on Sulejmani and that's less than FdB has spent total. Moisander was about €6M, Siggie was €5M, Janssen was €3M, and when you add in all the others including the two Barca loans which we covered salary but didn't have a transfer fee that probably bumps things over the amount for Sulejmani. van Basten also brought in Oleguer, Aissati, Cvitanich, Sno, and Enoh so he probably has the record in terms of money spent (don't know who much these others cost) and poor performance though at the time we were all excited by the transfers.

The only thing I would argue about with ajaxcolumbia is about Duarte. I wonder if he would have done better had he not suffered an injury last fall. That clearly allowed Serero to establish himself as a starter.
