Well, this is it then. We're "semi-officially" the Dutch champion of 2014, but we need one last point to make it official (it will, of course, also be official if Feyenoord drop points, they play Cambuur at home).

The game at Almelo's Polman Stadium will start at 14:30 CET.

27 April is King's Day in The Netherlands (feels weird: King's Day... it's been Queen's Day all my life), which means that there will be no official celebration on this day. The official celebration will take place at the ArenA Park on Sunday 04 May, the day after the last league game of the season (NEC at home).

Not to split hairs, but technically speaking we don't even need that one point provided nothing drastic happens to change the goal difference situation. Still, I would want to win it by winning the necessary points in the remaining games, rather than "backing in".

It's been a weird week after the events in Rotterdam last weekend. The hard core fans say that that won't happen again and I'm sure the team will want to put in a better display also. So I'm up early over here and trying to get up for today's match.
Heracles is just above the relegation zone and will want to stay that way but their squad is depleted through suspensions and injuries.

Think Cilessen was out of position if he couldn't get that, it was about a metre inside the post...

Very mediocre play (what else is new). Only a few players are having a good match and if we are going to have to rely on free kicks to win a match the team is in trouble. didn't get a good look at the replay on the Heracles goal and could not figure out whether it was the wall or Cillesen or both that were at fault. Boilesen and de Sa are playing well. Sigthorrson is terrible again and Klaassen should have made the pass to Schöne so that we would have had a 2nd goal. Looks like we may back into the title here.

2 great free kicks and thats about it . Just 45 mins to go. I lost a stream for a few minutes and wonder if all streams are showing Chelsea vLiverpool. I have wiziwig bein as usual and its in english.

Just watching this team -- unable to make a decent cross -- unable to make a decent pass -- saved from going down by a goal by the merest of whiskers -- I have to ask myself, even if we finish in first place, does this team deserve to call itself champions?
