The road to running the table continues against Excelsior this coming Sunday. We can't think of any match as an easy one from here on out. Excelsior thrashed Heerenveen at home this past weekend 3-0. We need to find ways to score goals!

I will not attend this as I will already arrive in Ukraine this Saturday!!

Hope you can help me out next Sunday with a working stream!

How many hours is the train ride?

We'll get a stream posted though I'm sure they will block the Russia ones!

Ajaxtalk forum member Revo (only active in the Dutch section) will do the same and at least 3 or 4 other Ajaxtalkers will visit the match with a direct flight to Kiev!

Squad has one change from last week,Milik is out injured and Zivkovic in the 18.

Milik's injury is not thought to bad and he may back for Dnipro on Thursday. Sigthorsson plays for Jong Ajax v Almere on Monday so he too is likely to be back for Dnipro.

The other Rotterdam team comes to Amsterdam Sunday. Early morning for me. Not exactly sure what time as over here we switch to 'Daylight Savings time'. At midnight we jump to 1:00 am. Reading about it today, and no one is quite sure why we started it but it may be the last time. Hope so, it mess's everything up from Airline and Train schedules to fans of a Football club on the other side of the world setting the alarm clocks....

Excelsior are actually have a fairly good run of late. They beat Heerenveen at home 3-0 in front of a pack out stadium of 3600 fans last weekend. And only loosing twice in their last 8 matches or so. As I recall they played well when Ajax visited them in Rotterdam. In that game vd Hoorn and Zivkovic scored, I would love to see both of them play again in the rematch. El Ghazi will probably start at CF, he did very good there in part of last weeks match after Milik left.

Ajax, coming off last weeks huge win in Eindhoven, need another win to stay sort of in reach of PSV, but more importantly keeping ahead of AZ who face Utrecht away.

So Schone as striker and Zivkovic left on the bench. Surely this is the type of game that Zivkovic should start.

Moisander dropped out for Tete ,no reason given but he has just become a father so hope all is well with his family.

I'm on skysports 5 again so hope you get good streams.Livetv was very good for me for the Legia games.

Well sure enough up an hour earlier than wanted to be...at least get to make a proper breakfast. Schone at CF.

I'm also surprised that Zivkovic is not given a start here.

Excelsior parking the bus and Ajax surprisingly are getting some decent entry passes. unfortunately, they don't seem to have a clue about what to do next. Ball movement is still too slow and some players are not seeing the correct pass very well. Boilesen is having a very good match but I can't say anyone else really stands out. The trouble with these kinds of matches is that so much ball control leads to weak defending and I wouldn't be surprised to see Excelsior get a junk goal as a result. Ajax really need to score early in the 2nd half to open things up.

First half is the same old rubbish...
No tempo, no movement, no incisiveness......

Half time and while Ajax is passing about smartly, no real chances on goal. May need to bring on vd Hoorn as CF like the last time....

Very poor first half ,we need a midfielder who creates something , and as we have seen 3 games recently you are not going to win a game with no striker.We are basically playing 4-4-2 except the 2 are wingers.

We need to get Zivkovic on and bring in Sinkgraven or Andersen for Bazoer.

Excelsior is extremely defensive. It looks like they have 3 or 4 players at DMF to me. We are playing OK but will struggle to break them down, probably only get one or two chances to make it 1–0. After we score the game might open up a bit.

Serero cannot play as an AM, he just cannot deal with the ball in tight spaces!

Good substitutions (I hope) by FdB. Sinkgraven and Zivkovic on now.

Yeah it's funny, I like a Serero–Klaassen–Bazoer MF on paper but I was expecting Serero at DMF. Anyway now we have Sinkgraven at AMF and Zivkovic at CF so we'll see if we make some chances.

FINALLY!!! Excellent passing and el Ghazi to finish. Boilesen, Sinkgraven, Zivkovic, el Ghazi all get GOLD stars. Now we need to defend!
