Don't know what kind of a motivational speech Bosz gave, but he needs to do it more often. Good football. We're pressing well and Fwoord don't really seem to get attacks going. Almost hard to believe that we're playing the league leaders here. The crowd has been on fire as well. Nice looking and sounding atmosphere in the Arena today, though I didn't expect any less.


Since the Fwoord fans are banned from attending they have to keep a empty section in the stands?

A great win and a deserved win. Every guy stepped up their game and left everything on the field today and that's something you have to appreciate. Nouri showed again that he is an option for Bosz. So technical and a great vision and ambition to play the ball forward. If we continue like these Fword and Schalke should be worried.

He's not clinical at the end because he can't shoot with his right foot -- so he always goes with his left and his body position for the left footed shot means he can't hit the target. The other thing is - by the time he gets it set up from his right foot to his left, the defender has time to block off his shot direction so he winds up putting it wide.

EDIT: I agree, though with the general assessment that he played well -- good runs and interplay -- I made my remark just after he missed out on scoring for the second time this game (like he did for the same reason last game).

Phew - I was worried after they got their goal. Traore missed taking a couple shots and also missed a couple goals.

We should've made this 4-0/5-0 and they would've doubted themselves for the rest of the season.

Well we dominated for 91 mins ,only time I was nervous was those last 2mins.We should have scored more goals but Traore,who had a good game, cannot finish. Kluivert outstanding ,was MOM in stadium and by sky commentators.100% agree. Vast improvement than Younes.All had a good game and nice Nouri got 30 mins on his birthday.

Looking ahead still dont see us catching them.If we had been so committed v Groningen and certainly Excelsior we would be top. At the end of the season that goal v PSV when goal line tech showed over the line will make all the difference for Feyenoord.

I'm disappointed that it didn't finish 4-0. Ajax thoroughly commanded the match and only a poor headed ball by Klaassen gifted Feyenoord a goal. Can't be too harsh on the Captain as it was a difficult play to make. Lots of shots on goal and there should have been a couple more goals. Too bad the club cannot play with this kind of passion every match. Let's get straight to the player ratings.

Ratings:

Onana (7.5) - very solid match, alert to every attack on goal and stood no chance at Kramer's late one
Sinkgraven (6.5) - a couple of glitches on defense but overall a good match particularly with his passing
Viergever (8) - rock solid on defense
Sanchez (7.5) - pretty much back on track with good game
Veltman (6.5) - foolish challenge early on leaves him suspended for the next game
Schöne (7) - wonderful strike on the first goal and until he tired in the late stages had a good game
el Capitan (6.5) - put in a solid shift on defense but seldom involved offensively
Ziyech (7) - best match in a long time
Kluivert (8) - very dangerous out on the wing
Traore (6.5) - excellent game EXCEPT......PUT THE BALL IN THE NET!!!!
Neres (7) - I was wondering if he was just a high priced Younes but then he scored and his game picked up
Nouri (6.5) - solid as a sub and so smooth with the ball
Cerny (6) - had a couple of good moments coming in for Kluivert
Cassiera (NR) - on late and was not involved

Short turn around with a tricky fixture against AZ midweek.

I can't believe everyone is soft on Traore. If Ajax dropped points today, you would all be baying for his blood. He has no place in the Ajax team, full stop.

Little statistical overview:

Ajax dominated the match with 24 shots (8 on target, 10 from the penalty box, 1 in the 6 yard box) against f-word's 7 (4 on target, 2 from the penalty area, non from the 6 yard box). Ziyech most trigger happy player with 6 shots (only one on target). Neres had the most shots on target with 2 out of 3. We can do better getting more shots on target.

Ajax dominated possession with 57.4%, most of the ball was handled by Nick Viergever (10%). Klaassen saw less of the ball than Onana (4% and 4.5% respectively).

Most accurate passers were Davind Neres (94%) and Sanchez (92%). Most prolific passer was Viergever with 87 passes in total (74 accurate ones). Most key passes came off Hakim Ziyech (4) with one assist. Most of the crosses also came from Hakim Ziyech with 5.

Justin Kluviert won the most dribbles with 5 out 8 attempts. Bertrand Traore had a 100% success with four dribble attempts. No Ajax player was dribbled past more than once .

Davinson Sanchez one the most aerial duels (6).

Joel Veltman had the most successful tackles for Ajax with 4. Nick Viergever and Davinson Sanchez had 5 clearances each. Davy Klaassen had the most interceptions with 3.

Traore was Ajax's most dispossessed player, losing the ball 5 times.

Agree with Ayman regards Traore. By his own poor performances this season he looked motivated and had a decent game.Sadly he played as a striker ,and not only is he not a winger he is a poor finisher.Really dont know what
he is but he is not good enough and should not be in our starting 11. When Dolberg is fit Traore should be stuck on the bench with the other waste of space Younes. Neres and Kluivert to start and give Nouri time on the wing as sub
