Veltman back was obvious and Dolberg for KJH also. KJH's experience won the game on Sunday but at 34 he is not going to play 3 days later other than as a sub.

Having veterans is always useful, esp. with a load of kids around. I would love it if Ajax had a vet in each section of the field, e.g. Attack, midfield and defence.

Looks like Twente just want to sit back and defend. they had one chance on a counter but Dijks covered it pretty well. As long as Ajax keep possession and don't concede a dumb turnover they should win this cup tie.

So extra time it is; just what this team did not need. S de Jong slips and Asaidi, who Veltman did a nice job on all match long, gets the free shot on frame and a deflection leaves Onana flat footed.

That was caused by terrible substitutions. vd Beek was playing as a central defender for a few minutes there

Penalties is close to a coin toss, but I have faith in Onana. Hunter, Schöne also experienced and good penalty takers. Mentally we have more to lose I guess. Nail biting finish.
