Ajax are still playing two matches a week and have the Cup semifinal coming up on Wednesday followed by a home game against Groningen before EL matches against Young Boys. I would like to see Scherpen get a run out in goal this week as he has to be ready to fill in.

ETH said Mazraoui is still out and although Tagliafico is fit he is suspended.Rensch went off at HT with Hamstring problems so hope that wont be serious.

Rensch is also suspended. To add to that, Tadic, Schuurs and Alvarez are one yellow card away from missing the final.

Vitesse win their semifinal 2-0 to advance.

Can't remember the last time Ajax wore red shorts with the home kit top. Ajax should have had another goal the way they were dominating. Heerenveen only had one furtive lob shot by Siem de Jong near the end of the half.

I watch on freestreams-live1.com.Freezes at odd times for a second or 2 but makes no difference always a good picture and they just have the Dutch Tv.

Thought Klaassen had made it 2-0, which probably would have killed the game as they show no real threats. Strange to see Siem de Jong and Lasse Schone playing against us.

easy 3-0 win, I was relatively stress free watching that second half

Very comfortable win ,once it was 2-0 I did not expect any problems. A chance for ETH to bring in a few subs and rest some key players.

A fairly routine win 0-3 but could have been 0-5 with some better finishing. Ajax move on to meet Vitesse for the Beker. Martinez was my MOTM as he was just devastating defensively at both LB and then in the middle when Blind came off for the 2nd half. He had a lot of very good passes. Haller was subpar on the night and should have had a couple of goals.

Player Ratings:

Stekelenburg (6.5) - had nothing to do in the first half and then came up with a big save right after Tadic converted from the spot to keep the clean sheet
Martinez (7.5) - outstanding match defending and passing
Blind (6.5) - decent enough in the only half he played
Schuurs (6.5) - caught up too high right after the Tadic goal which led to a free man in on goal other wise a solid game
Timber (7) - split his time between the RB and LB position and did not miss a beat; he is so good with the ball at his feet
Alvarez (6.5) - won the ball well but was poor defending the break in on goal as he was too far off his man
Gravenberch (6.5) - better match tonight than in some past games
Klaassen (6.5) - very nice headed in goal to win the match but still displayed a very poor touch with the ball but we are all use to that
Tadic (7) - good control of the ball and again deadly from the spot
Haller (5) - average and no better
Antony (6.5) - wonderful assist on the first goal and did well with the ball down the right side
Klaiber (6) - good match from someone who is third choice RB in the full half he played
Kudus (6) - much better match coming in for Klaassen and drew a penalty on a good run
Neres (6) - nice goal and just on sides for it
Idrissi (NR) - on late and saw little of the ball
Ekelenkamp (NR) - on late and had a good run into the box but lost control of the ball

Groningen on the weekend with an early kick off for those of us on this side of the ocean. EL picks right back up with a match against Young Boys
