Hope you don't mind that a dutchy bites the bullet in the new and improved English boards. It seems that Twente's performance parallells with the form NKufo is in. He showed some of his skills against Feyenoord, so we have to wait and see. I honestly hope that Koeman will abandon his farfetched experiment of positioning Babel on the left winger spot. Let's start with selecting the players for their own position. So Maxwell left on the midfield and not as LB. Babel starting on the bench and replacing 'Harry' (Charisteas).

Whoever we put out I hope that they show some passion this week as against ADO there attitude just appeared to be apathetic.

One thing is for sure: we will have to adjust the line-up a bit. After two (or even three) games with the same team, Zdenek Grygera has dropped out of the squad with a hamstring injury. Still injured: Tomás Galásek and Boggy Lobont. Banned by Koeman: Anthony Obodai.

Now, what are we going to do?

Heitinga back to the defense? But what about the defensive midfield position then, now that Obodai has been kicked out of the squad for the time being?

There is talk about Rasmus Lindgren...

Or is this the moment for John O'Brien to return to Ajax-1...? He can play as 'Galásek' in midfield!

Yup. Safe bet that De Jong will be the man.

Would be nice to see J.O.B. in action, tho. Perhaps as a sub. I mean: he's played a few games with the reserves and is finally match fit. So let's go, Koeman, before something inside his legs breaks again...

I have a hunch that, if J.O.B. gets some playing-time in the first team, he will be drafted straight into the US Squad for the crucial qualifier with Mexico.

I don't think that John O'Brien will be able to play two full matches without getting injured.

I'd like to see De Jong in the defense instead of Grygera. I find De Jong a better defender than Heitinga, at this moment anyways. Besides, i find that Heitinga has trouble with strikers such as N'kufo. I think a defensive block of De Jong - Escude will do for this game. With Trabelsi and Maxwell on the sides. Maxwell on left-back simply because we've got nobody else for that position...

I'd like to see the midfield with a slight variation; Heitinga in the middle, defensive, with Sneijder on the left and Pienaar on the right, replacing v.d. Vaart. Of course this won't happen...

I hope JoB doesn't get selected for the USA team anytime soon. It was playing on the rock-hard Californian pitches that started this whole problem in the first place.

A return to Ajax 1 soon would be cool though. Then Maxwell could move to left-side of mid-field where he was always more comfortable. Or he could play in the Galasek position which is his favourite.

According to AT5 Nigel de Jong will indeed replace Zdenek Grygera.

Line-up will almost certainly be:

Vonk; Trabelsi, De Jong, Escudé, Maxwell; Sneijder, Heitinga, Van der Vaart; Rosales, Charisteas, Mitea/Babel.

Personally I think Koeman will give Mitea one last chance. If he fails again it'll be Babel-time next week on th left wing.

update: 10th minute. Ajax starts strong and lead by 1-0, scored y Escude. [Header out a courner] Rosales is very active, he has his man [heubach i believe] in his pocket.

i don't think we have the same sort of ref PSV had, otherwise we should have a penalty for hands and 2 red cards, Temmink is a good ref.

20 minutes played, Ajax is a bit sloppy. They are the far better team, had one or two chances, but they didn't score. Twente is also on attack but weren't too dangerous

oef, culina had a change. from distant he tried to lob the ball over Vonk. Vonk was on time.

I said it looks lik a sloppy game, but I was wrong. It IS a sloppy game!

N'kufo scores. 1-1 Through the middle, where de jong slept like a baby.

almost the 60th minute. without playing well Ajax had twente on the run. Too bad no goals but Ajax was very lucky when Twente had a chance in the six yard box,

is it called the six yard box? my english isn't that good...

1-2 for twente, tuma scores. vonk came out of his goal and didnt hit the ball right.

I really hope the Twente tradition continues. Ajax fired Wouters days after ajax-twente [0-1] and co adriaanse got fired after a 3-2 victory against twente.

Ouch! We beat Utrecht away and lose to Twente at home and draw to Den Haag at home, what is going on here?! Time for some reinforecements or its UEFA cup again next year! X'C
