We can only f this up if we allow them a very early goal. They will start energetically and if they score after like 6 minutes, we might get in trouble. Otherwise I really think this one is more or less a formality. They beat us twice this season, but both times the difference was one goal. If we score once over there, they will require five.

Yesterday Ajax beat Feyenoord by 3-0, yet that was a bit flattered. So was Feyenoord's 3-2 win over Ajax earlier this season. That could (or should)'ve been 4-1 or 5-2.

Feyenoord can score three goals on any given Sunday.

It ain't over yet.

Yes they can, but their main problem is that they can also let in three goals on any Sunday. :D

Yup. But it ain't over. Chances are slim, but so were Liverpool's last year, The Red Sox's in '04, RKC's this week and Estudiantes' in this years Libertadores.

It's a play-off. There's no tomorrow. Win big or go home. Simple as that.

You're right: it ain't over yet. Ajax are a fragile team. They can collapse and will have to take the game in Rotterdam very seriously.

It will all come down to three things, i.m.o.

1. Survive the first 15 minutes
Feyenoord will start very agressively, in an attempt to score early. If Ajax let one in in the opening phase, they will be up for a very difficult afternoon. They will have to well organized and keep a clean sheet until the opening storm dies down.

2. Wait for the chances and SCORE
Ajax will get chances. That's for sure. Feyenoord will have to play all or nothing, so there will be space for counter-attacks. If Ajax score one goal, Feyenoord require five. So an Ajax goal will almost certainly be decisive, especially if we score it early.

3. Play your own game
Now that Castelen's suspended, Feyenoord will probably start with Van Hooydonk and play very aggressive kick 'n' rush football. If Ajax lean back and only focus on whacking the ball away, they are asking for trouble. We will have to impose our play on Feyenoord, slow the game down and keep the ball on the ground.

Survive the opening phase and score a goal... That will be it.

Is Herm Edwards the coach of 010? I thought it was Erwin Koeman (at least for now).

Never underestimate a wounded beast, even if the beast is almost dead.

We need to be careful at the Kuip, emotions are high and that can backfire at us.

I remember Freddie Ljungberg once saying after team sweden was drawn in the group of death " We have to come in and believe we can make it through, if we dont believe in ourselves then we shouldent even get on the plain to Japan".

Of course Sweden wasnt three goals down against any of it's opponent's at that time ;)

Anyways it would be good to see Grygera back for the final game, he would ad some experience and grit to the defence.

Let's see
BRING IT ON !!!!...

Right, so Steven Pienaar has been suspended for four matches and has played his last match for Ajax. Overkill as usual from the KNVB, he only gave Kuijt a little push.

Fuck Dirk Kuijt and his hard man act, I can't wait untill he goes to England and gets found out.
