If Huntelaar keeps up his scoring (2 more against Ireland today), we might score 8 goals a game. :eusa_dance:

Here's to hoping that we only give up 7! :tifoajax:

How does a 4-0 victory sound? Last season we saw a 4-1 vic against them. And since we are supposed to do better this year(especially at back w/Stam and all) my penny goes to not conceding the goal whelst keeping a fairly productive 4 goals up front.

4:1 again. Ajax pressing forward in a red and white goal craving lust and forgets the plot at the back once.

With Stam in defence, there is no chance Ajax will concede a goal :worshippy:

Ajax played 2 official games with Stam in the line up, in both games the opponent scored (against PSV even because of a fault of Stam).

Yeah I thought that was his fault as well. He was ball-watching. But I only saw it once.

Stam was covering Cocu at first but when the corner came in Cocu walked away from Stam and around another Ajax player, making it difficult for Stam to follow him. Stam then took over another opponent, but the damage was done by letting Cocu get away from him. It was a sly move from Cocu though.

Possible line up for this game:

Stekelenburg

Heitinga-Grygera-Stam-Emanuelson

Gabri-Maduro-Sneijder

Rosales-Huntelaar-Babel

I believe Vermaelen is the only one unavaliable

Shit Grygera is injured and substituted by Ogararu and Stam has been given a yellow card.

Well, I must say that it's very disappointing to see Jan-Klaas did not score.

Though he was involved in lots of action, good to see Babel and Heitinga score.

Sneijder is a legend.

As long as the crooked numbers go up on the scoreboard for Ajax , I don't care who scores. I'm sure RKC was doing whatever it could, i.e. foul, shirt pull, etc.. to keep the Hunter off his game .Also, HtC said Ajax were not a one man show .

Great way to begin the season. :headbang: That is, save for the Grygera injury. Glad to see Sneijder bag a brace . And especially glad to see Ryan Babel score. He really seems to be hell bent on proving his critics wrong.

For anyone who saw the match , live or on tv, how did the new boys (Stam, his twin brother Gabri, Roger, Ogararu, and Perez ) play? Thanks !

All looked good, though Roger and Perez looked out of it sometimes. (clumsy passing etc.)

Not really, his personal opponent Ryan Donk played a hell of a game. Ajax should keep an eye on him, he's very young but he impressed me today (and at the end of last season)
