Six days 'til the 'Big One' against PSV...

After that there will be no Ajax match for two weeks, due to Euro 2008 qualifiers in the weekend of 24/25 March.

The first Ajax game after PSV vs Ajax is the home fixture against Heracles Almelo on April 1st.

Right then: the remaining fixtures...

PSV
NAC (a)
NEC (a)
Twente (h)
Utrecht (a)
Vitesse (h)

Ajax
Heracles (h)
RKC (a)
NAC (h)
Sparta (h)
Willem II (a)

PSV play Liverpool at home in between the NAC and NEC away fixtures, and Liverpool away in between NEC away and Twente at home.

I expect PSv to drop points against NAC,Twente, and Utrecht, though you never know.

Ajax should beat all teams, though NAC may be a problem.

NAC might be a tricky one. They want to play the play-offs for no's 6 to 9, but they can still easily drop to 10th place, so they still have something to fight for. However, it's a home game for us. Should be alright.

Heracles are trying to stay out of the relagation play-offs zone. They will fight, but again: we play them at home. Should be alright.

By the time we play Sparta and Willem II they will be 'safe' and they will have nothing left to play for. Also, Sparta at home and Willem II away are normally two easy ones for Ajax. Should be alright.

The trickiest one will be RKC away, in my opinion. They're battling against relegation, it's an away game and they've actually picked up quite a lot of points since the winter break. That will be the toughest one, I think.

As for PSV...

As I wrote in some other thread: NAC away will be absolutely crucial. If PSV win over there, they will straighten their backs, take a deep breath and finish the job relatively calmly. If they drop points, they will panic and probably blow it completely.

It is a very good thing that their toughest matches are actually the first three after the disaster against Ajax - and that the two Liverpool games will be played in between those three. If PSV are to lose six points, it will have to happen at NAC and NEC, and at home against Twente. If they blow it in Breda, they might well collapse completely in Nijmegen (NEC are still contending for the '6 to 9' play-offs).

Utrecht away looks like a tough fixture for them, but make no mistake: PSV always piss it over there. Utrecht always roll over quite easily against PSV. Besides, they're simply shit this season. 'Ajax at home' always brings out the best in Utrecht. PSV is a different story.

To be quite honest: I can't see Twente pulling off a win in Eindhoven. Perhaps a draw, but probably nothign at all. Which means that it will have to happen in Breda and Nijmegen.

Just my thoughts.

Grygera is expected to miss following a knee injury he picked up while playing for the Czech Republic. He may be out untl the end of the season unless Ajax (probably will) play in the play offs.

NAC lead 1-0 in the 69th minute after a terrible PSV giveaway near the box

EDIT: psv draw level on 75' when the NAC keeper misjudges a long farfan shot

X'C
