Only saw the highlights (working today), and I know that can be deceiving, but the vast majority of chances were Roda's. Based on the little I saw we were very very lucky. I'm a little surprised when I read the comments on here that everyone was so positive.

Having said that.....there's nothing wrong with a bit of luck from time to time.
Twente have been riding their luck for far too long, and we were robbed last season in this fixture as I recall.

Well it was Oleguer who played Cissé onside for the goal...

I didn't think it was a great performance at all but we'll take the points.

The goal was down to a bad pass from Van der Wiel, sure Oleguer was leaving the guy onside and Vermeer may not have been in a perfect position but imo it was still a Van der Wiel cockup. 3 points is all that matters

I think we were dominant for stretches of the match. If Suarez had not been in one of his selfish moods for much of the match, we could have easily put another goal or two in there. I never really felt that threatened by Roda, even though they put in a good effort. Oleguer and Wielaert were in general very good at killing chances. At one point in the second half Ajax had over 60% of the possession. That was a bit flattering to us, but I don't think this was an unjustified scoreline by any means.

Enoh was great. Anita was very good as well. I imagine his solid play is keeping Gabri on the bench.

I saw the whole game (espn360 is my new BFF), and I agree that the result was somewhat lucky. Roda had a lot of chances. But I also thought that Ajax were denied two clear-cut penalty claims, the first for Suarez and the second for I forget.

And I'm not the only one who thinks so.
