Clownlike defense concedes what looked like an own goal by Alderweireld. We've had chances but can't convert (what else is new). ADO is parking everyone behind the ball and I'm thinking that this one is over for all intents and purposes.

That is the €1M question! We seem to get punished for every dumb mistake but can't do the same thing to our opponents. If you ask me this is the big difference between us and Twente/PSV. Both of those clubs seem to be able to overcome adversity, we cannot.

Our forwards are too small and too slow to present any real danger. Cvit makes a troika with El H and Oleguer when it comes to swiftness of foot. For years not having a big strong center forward has been our problem. And don't blame the defensive shit -- blame the fact that we haven't got the talent nor the tactics to overcome it. If we did they wouldn't use it. Show them that they won't get any benefit from that kind of play and they will cut it out. Dead slow pitty patting the ball back and forth around the perimeter isn't going to do it.

Trouble is, as long as we have to play Enoh as the holding midfielder rather than Anita we don't have a midfield capable of passing the ball around to create opportunities. de Jong is glacial slow in assessing when to pass. Eriksen is the only quality player we have since the jury is still out on Lodeiro (who might give us the movement that we need).
