Eriksen's girlfriend must be a bit worried right about now.

Although they only got two goals, there was some very nice football being played. Very few back passes to Vermeer and everyone focused on moving the ball into the attacking midfield. All three starting midfielders were good on the ball and you saw what mobility (no more Janssen thank goodness) can do for a team. The defense was not really challenged and they did a good job of staying high and getting the off side trap.

Player Ratings:

Vermeer (7) - made a couple of good saves but really wasn't troubled
van Rhijn (7) - solid match off of his good NT showing on Tuesday
Alderweireld (7) - best match so far this season, kept his head in the game and ventured into the offensive end when the opportunity came
Moisander (6.5) - slip and resultant sloppy yellow card gets him a half point deduction but otherwise solid
Blind (7.5) - best match ever at the senior level, three good defensive plays and solid moving forward, his screen of Zoet probably helped on the Lukoki goal
Poulsen (7) - solid as the controlling midfielder and had a couple over the top passes that were just a little too long
Eriksen (7) - just a great pass to Schöne on the first goal but did make some rather soft passes that were intercepted
Schöne (7.5) - good game in the midfield and the combination with Eriksen on the goal was so sweet
Sana (7) - again very active on the wing and realizes when he needs to give the ball up
de Jong (7) - a little better than average on the day had a couple of tough opportunities to score but couldn't convert
Boerrigter (6) - a quite match and came off at the half for Babel
Babel (7.5) - really good on his first return match; started the 2nd half on the wing and then moved to the middle; kept the ball alive on the Lukoki goal
Lukoki (7) - just has too much speed for the opponents, nice header to get the 2nd goal
Sulejmani (NR) - not on long enough to evaluate

Off to Dortmund to start our European adventures with a tough fixture away to ADO next weekend.

good win with fine passing for the 1st goal.Babel looks like he will make a difference as he had 45 very good minutes today.None will knock Blind today as he had a fine game.

I'm starting to like Lasse Schöne (not that I ever hated him; I just like him).
