Totally agree. Bosz needed some squad rotation against PSV.

If we get Feyenoord's GD advantage to a very small number, then they're going to be wetting their pants next weekend.

Actually, I had it wrong earlier. If we win next weekend, then Feyenoord HAVE to win to take the title. GD doesn't come into play at all next weekend.

Game over -- well done!! Good performances by everyone. I was really impressed by Frenkie de Jong -- the weight on every single one of his long passes to the sidelines and into the corners was absolutely perfect -- the best I have seen of any of our players all season.

Ajax had an easy time following a lackluster first 15 minutes and handily defeated GAE 4-0. It could have been much worse for Marc Overmars's old club as they went down to 10 men and it was pretty much shooting practice at that point. Nice to see the kids get a thorough run out in this match. A couple a slip ups on defense and Onana did well with a couple of chances he had to defend. I had a poor stream so it wasn't real clear what the call on the voided GAE goal was. The forward was way offsides but did he get a touch on the ball?

Player Ratings:

Onana (7.5) - had to be alert on a couple of occasions and he was
Viergever (7.5) - really nice match and was pretty active in the offensive end
Riedewald (7.5) - solid match
Westermann (7.5) - controlled every thing sent his way and really smooth passing
Veltman (7.5) - strong presence going forward
van der Beek (7.5) - is he better as a DM or AM; maybe it doesn't make any difference as he can play the game
Nouri (7.5) - had a couple of scoring chances and his field vision is the best of any Ajax player
el Capitan (7) - quiet first half and subbed off for de Jong
Kluivert (7.5) - amazing control of long passes, does anyone bring the ball down better? rocket goal that turned out to be the game winner
Dolberg (7.5) - solid performance
Neres (8) - dangerous all match long and the pass sending Dolberg in was delightful
de Jong (7.5) - great run to the goal and delivered Viergever's cross into the net
Cassiera (7.5) - decent on the ball and a well taken goal

Ajac lock up 2nd place as PSV spill points at Groningen. Next Sunday all the tamales are on the fire!! Feyenoord are home to Heracles and Ajax travel to Willem II. Heracles thrashed ADO 4-0 today. Is there a surprise in store for Ajax next week???

A very fine performance by all our players. The midfield trio of kids have played like that all season for Jong dominating matches with their quick passing and movement . I am a mega fan of Nouri but de Jong I have found to be the equal of Donny and Appie in talent and ability. Neres starting to look like a very good signing .

Fword probably will win next week and limp over the line and thank goal line technology for that goal vPSV .They have lead the league since day 1 . We should have rotated more v PSV Excelsior and Groningen games ,all afterThursday night EL games but we lost the title in August, 1 point from Willem and Roda. Those games we should have stuffed them out of sight and we would now be champs ,even with that PSV loss.

Nouri and Van de Beek are soon going to be bullying midfields in the Eredivise. Nouri had five key passes today and Van de Beek was sharp with 91% accuracy. Van de beek also had 6 tackles and two interceptions. Kluviert with a goal and an assist, and neres had 9 dribbles.

Meanwhile, Lyon scraped a 3-2 Against Nantes, they sure can score goals but have such a leaky defense. Ajax have to punish them

Bosz will hopefully play the 3 kids in midfield v Willem next week. Biggest problem after Euro games is he plays the same tired old 3 midfielders and they never create enough . Next season these 3 need to playing every week and if we dont sell any of our 3 main MF we have a problem.

v d Beek should now be starting every game in place of Schone.He struggles to last 90 mins and should just be a sub . Klaassen is now on Everton's radar, 23m euros . Really hope he now leaves, been a good player but these 3 kids will turn out better and have to start playing lots of games for us.

That took an unexpected turn. At HT Ajax were cruising to victory and I was expecting the usual 2nd half goal from Feyenoord.

We'll see what happens. Heracles qualified for the Europa League this year but lost in the first qualifying round on the away goal rule. The drew with PSV in Eindhoven and only lost to them 1-2 at home. Feyenoord only beat them 0-1 at home. I agree that it might not happen but remember, Heracles only need a draw!!

Yep. Unfortunately the season is already over for Heracles. They can't reach the playoffs so they have nothing to fight for.
