Was the penalty for handball, or was it for the studs up tackle that nailed the Groningen attacker on the follow through after getting the ball? If the latter, I can accept it as it would be consistent with the way those things are judged nowadays. If the former, all I can say is that Blom has never been kind toward Ajax.

That was a close one, but it really is time that ten Hag makes a habit of bringing on kids, i.e. Sierhuis (if Huntelaar isn't performing, which is rare of course), Bakker, slot Tagliafico at centre back, he has played in that position and is effective. Eiting instead of Schoene should be a starter, it's a no brainer, and of course Lange on for Neres!

Well, someone played the Monopoly "Get out of jail, free" card, didn't they? It seems that the only way to get Ajax to fight is to have a player unjustly sent off!!!
Terrible decision for Veltman's 2nd yellow as TV proves that he made no contact with Groningen player..just play acting!
Two decisions swung it for Ajax today; !...disallowed Groningen goal for offside...it wasn't...and 2; sending off of Veltman..to give the team some fight!!

Nice that Huntelaar scored the winner...love watching the game with Russian commentary...they love him from his days at Schalke...part owned by a certain gas company!!1

Overall, a satisfying day in that Ajax didn't lose...but MANY players ought to be aware of their frailties...there has to fight and guile!!!
