Another trip to Volendam for those so inclined. Very cool ! Were I in the Netherlands at the time, I'd go for sure. I've been to Volendam twice and enjoyed the trip each time.

I have to say: this was a very good performance from Ajax. This wasn't the ugly, clueless kick & rush football they sometimes play these day; this was proper Ajax football. They were u pfor it, they outplayed Utrecht for 90 minutes, created loads of chances and hardly allowed Utrecht anything. Game should have been decided at half-time.

A few more thoughts...

1. Suárez is absolutely on fire. What a cracking goal and that wasn't his only fantastic moment. Would be a shame if he gets suspended. I didn't see the footage, but someone texted me that he kicked an Utrecht players in the family jewels.

2. KJH must never, I repeat: never take a penalty again. That's over. Enough is enough.

3.Vertonghen was fantastic, Siem de Jong had a really good one too, my first impression of Enoh is really really positive and Silva must be a starter.

4. Volendam away: yeah. Love it.

Good to see that it's the one and only Gregoor van Dijk who is so easily shaken off by Suarez, just before the ball slams home.

I really hate him, you see.

Are you kidding me? What did you like about him during the match?

At least he didn't get fooled by a player like Gregory in the last two games. You can't honestly say that our own homegrown boy did a good job there. Besides that he's also better in the centre of defense. So it would be stupid to place someone else there, who you will play out of position, when you have a decent rightback still in the squad.

Seriously....Goosens should be on the bench...and if all goes well in the game, give the boy a chance!

Aggressive. Defensively flawless. Rushed past his man numerous times.

The only thing: his crosses were poor. That must improv. But definitely a thousand times better than Van der Wiel at right fullback.

Sounds crazy to me to take a natural Center Back and play him at Right Back. I say stick with Silva until we've someone better in the side.
