I don't honestly think Hato is ready for a big move abroad. He's very talented has great vision and can break lines with passes, but does make mistakes. He's not very good at LCB and can become better at LB.

Akpom is signing on loan for Birmingham City,newly promoted to Championship. They have rich owners and one of the promotion favourites. If promoted to EPL they will buy Chuba.

Ajax clearly dont think anyone will come in and sign him this month so letting him out now seems best .Birmingham will pay his salary and a loan fee. Ajax made a hugh mistake in January ,they could easily have loaned him to a championship side and we could now have sold him for 7 or 8m .We now face him coming back to us next summer and his contract runs to 2028.

A bit of a soap opera with Chuba.Middlesbrough wanted him but he said no .Ipswich now involved and they want to buy. Birmingham are only going to cover half his salary.I read 2m but some reports say his salary this year is 5m , V d Sar and Mislintat have nearly destroyed our club financially.

V d Boomen is on 3m lucky his contract is to 2027, he will stay for this year and next year we will loan him out and pay most of his final year salary.

Thankfully the people now in charge of our club are now focusing on our youth again.

Sounds like Akpom is off to Ipswich on loan.Unless they get promoted he will be back here next summer and we will then have to give him away for nothing. The quote of 5m salary is the amount covering the remaining 3 years of his contract.From what is reported Ipswich wont even pay his salary in full. If this turns out correct Kroes has done a dreadful job in getting rid . He should have been in the pre season squad and not stuck with Jong reserves .Ajax basically have bought this on themselves ie getting no money for him.

Avila and v d Boomen remain and even a decent TD wont get rid of them.

Akpom earns 1.6m pa and Ipswich I believe will pay this but being in CL he qualifies for a30% bonus ie almost 500k so I think Ajax will pay this. Less July salary Ajax will save just under 1.5m in salary.

The remaining contract salary is guaranteed unless the player signs with a new club (not loaned out). Yes, they could let him go for free, but that assumes another club will pick up the remaining contract years and salary. Most English Championship teams won't do that for a 29 year old player. I'm sure that Ajax would like to get something in return. Mislintat's errors put Ajax in this bind and it was always going to be tough to dig out of it.
