Talk of Fitz-Jim being loaned out if Taylor stays. I like Kian and he is vastly better than Berghuis Klassen or Reeger in MF Not saying he is great but those 3 are rubbish and should not be at Ajax.

I totally agree, he is the only player on the team other than van den Boomen ( who may not play again) who has better than average passing ability.

Dont think Ajax want to give up on Fitz-Jim,still contracted to 2027. If Taylor stays and we get a new no 6 he wont be getting more than sub games .Klaassen and Mokio will be back up. At 10 hope Glouch with Berghuis as standby. Reeger also will be a sub ,surely he wont play RB and I only rate Klaassen a worse MF

Kian can go on loan to a mid Eredivisie side like Heerenveen hope he can play regularly and Ajax can assess him next summer when Taylor will leave.

Not sure if the mf puzzle is solved yet. I’m wondering if Gloukh is another Taylor type, i.e. runs hard and plays direct but not that technical.

That could be wrong as we’ve seen less than 90 minutes of him so far. But if it’s right then there’s still a spot in MF for someone who can pass, so I hope they don’t move Fitz-Jim on just yet.

Maybe they thought they would sell Taylor and brought Gloukh in to replace him.

The Fitz-Jim story is just bizarre. Heitinga said he wants to keep him. You so a huge drop off in the MF when he came off and Klaassen came on. You know that I am not Klaassen's biggest supporter and just cannot believe that he was given a two year contract. He can play for 10 minutes and that's about it. When you watch the matches you see him always pointing where players should go, maybe he should hang up his boots and get into coaching.

Dont know whats going on with our Mf . Our new no 6 appears to eb a20 year old Liverpool reserve James Mc Donnell and we pay 1.5m rental and no option.

Klaassen Berghuis and Reeger should all be sold as they are not good enough .Gloukh plays left wing and Fitz-Jim could go . Zero faith in Kroes .

I'm not 100% sure we have the 'give youth a chance' crew in charge right now. Fitz-Jim in the last two games has made our midfield tick. He seems to have bulked up a bit over the summer as well. Why is there even a discussion of letting him go?

This is just too bizarre! We keep signing all the youth players to contracts and don't give them a chance to break through to the senior team. Personally, I think the club is too focused on short term performance rather than long term stability. Mislintat aside, our transfer record, even under Overmars, has been quite spotty. We brought in some Latin American players who were very good; we lucked out with Tadic who over performed bit time, and of course Ziyech. there were bunch of players who were just dross! I hate what the Champions League is doing to this club!

When you look at finances of other teams and leagues (The Swiss Ramble has a great Substack that covers all this), you see lots of debt and little to show for it. Yes, some teams are propped up by US private equity people and you have mid-East oil money but only Bayern appears to be a reasonably well run club that is not in debt.

Good post Orange. Agree the only big club well run and not in debt is Bayern . However in EPL the best run club and not in debt is my local team Brighton. Tony Bloom is the sole owner a local man and life long fan . Made his millions from gambling . They have great scouting buy young talents from abroad and sell them for a fortune , mainly to Chelsea.

Kroes big mistake was back in January buying Edvardsen Rosa and Regeer all moderate back ups and not good enough as starters. I will wait and see when next Tuesday is over and transfer market closed.

Brobbey is going to Sunderland. Dutch press report 20m plus 5m addons but Sky sports say 25m plus 5m . This would be great but we need to bring in a replacement quick.

Nothing on Taylor to Porto and rumour Milan want Sutalo but if he went we are left with 2 CD and 3 full backs with Bouwman . Italy and Portugal deadlines are 8pm CET tonight just like UK.

So Brobbey gone for 20m plus 5m is a good deal.Traore 3m is good money and I have no problem as he far too inconsistent .Looks like Dolberg is returning again, no problem he does score goals.Moro and Berghuis will likely be right wingers and thus I hope Gloukh will be no10 .
