I don't think it is much of a surprise. Taylor had only one good season with Ajax and that was last year. This year he seems to have regressed to mediocre Taylor of two seasons ago when the club couldn't give him away. Farioli is looking like a master at getting the most out of players.

I think Taylor will be sold in January. I don't see anyone coming for Wijndal, Klaassen or Regeer.

Taylor may well be sold in January ,contract to 2027 and he wont renew so we may get 15m to 20 m. Klaassen Berghuis Wijndal all need to go but contracts to 2027 and we wont get rid of them.

In January we need to get rid of Gaaei or Rosa as we have Alders as back up and he is no worse. MF is the only area we need to sell. Reeger wont go so I see Fitz-Jim being let go and with Heitinga hopefully gone by then Mc Connell can go back to Liverpool.

Ajax still need an experienced no 6 and a left back .

Next summer without CL we will have a big clear out.Trouble is as well as the 3 named above with contracts to 2027,V d Boomen is here to 2027 and no one will take him on with a salary of 2m plus pa. Akpom gets no playing time and will be back from Ipswich and Avila will be back from loan in January.

Mokio not happy with his sporting development and hints at leaving with Man U and Newcastle interested.Ajax want to extend his contract from 2027 but given the current state of the club and basically a squad of players mainly unfit to be called Ajax I cannot blame him.

If Bounida and Steur had any sense they too would go else where . Other than Gloukh and Mokio I would happily see all our other MF leave

Like many fans I would rather see us us with our own youths plus some decent experienced players.Overlooking our youth is a death knell by those in charge

He’s sitting on the bench while a whole squad of dud midfielders get more playing time. I would be fed up too. However he’s still unproven as a first team regular, i would be disappointed if he left but not devastated.

Mokio is still very young and makes a number of mistakes when he plays. This is to be expected. He really should be starting every game for Jong Ajax to get playing time against decent competition and learn positioning and tactics. Unfortunately, this is not going to happen as he is needed for coverage with the first team. Grim has only been manager for one match so far and it's not clear how he will use him. Maybe the arrival of Landzaat will help in training the MFs. IMO, I don't think Mokio is nearly as polished a player as either Hato or de Ligt were at that age.

Ajax want to sell Taylor,F-Jim in January and send Mc Connell back . A no 6 is being sought.They want to give Mokio,Steur and Bounida more playing time . Reeger Klaassen Berghuis and V d Boomen will still be there sadly. And anew coach may think differently .

Kroes made a shambolic mess this summer.Buy a no 6 and not Itakura who was not needed, not extend Berghuis Klaassen and of course not spend 1.5m on a Liverpool reserve MF.

I'm on board with selling Taylor this winter. With Steur and Fitz-Jim we have enough coverage for that spot. Not sure how but we need to get rid of Van Der Boomen and Berghuis.

We need to clear out our mf ie Berghuis, v d Boomen and Mc Connell have nil future and Taylor wants out. Unfortunately Berghuis and v d Boomen are on 2m plus and contracts to 2027 so how on earth are we going to get rid of them.

Any playing time Berghuis gets may well be at the expense of Bounida and that would be a disgrace.

Sky Sports Germany say Frankfurt are in talks with Steur and want him in the summer. He has a contract to 2028,18 next month so Ajax can now offer him a longer and better contract. If Ajax agree to let him go at this age I think I will give up .This kid is class.

Mc Connell's loan is cancelled and he returns to Liverpool .Very good news,probably will have a good career and its not his fault but he was no where good enough for our 1st team and we do have loads of promising MF's

An interesting month to see who we can get rid of. Taylor looks like he is the main one to sell. V d Boomen also can go ,on loan likely. Moro is to stay but Edvardsen can go but again nobody will buy him even though we only want 3m .He earns between 600k and 1m and nobody in Holland will pay that. German 2nd div maybe but he is not very special .
Gaaei is sought by Fc Paris and Lazio.These are the 4 main players Ajax say can leave although we can name many more who are not good enough

Avila is back from a loan in Brazil but Sao Paulo want him but only on loan for 12 months.

Lazio are in advanced talks to buy Taylor from us. Fee is reportedly 17M rising up to 20M including bonuses and a potential sell-on %.

I'd be quite happy with this. We all had high expectations from Taylor, but he disappears a lot from matches.

Taylor off to Lazio 15m plus 2m add ons.A good amount for an average MF . Good luck to him but I thought he should have gone last summer as he has struggled a bit this season.

Avila is going on loan to Rosario in Argentina to end of 2026. An option to buy for 6.5m but they will never pay that. It will be summer 2027 before we get rid of the remaining Mislintat players.

Frankfurt still want Steur and post says they are talking to him but without Ajax approval this is illegal. Ajax should say 30m if you want him but I think this whole nonsense story is just to get a bigger contract. He is 18 next week ,will now take over from Taylor and can extend his current contract of 2028

Massive relief for me that Taylor is gone. I know he tries hard but he is so limited technically.

For me, the fact that a player like this was a starting midfielder symbolised how bad Ajax had become.

Ajax finally confirmed Mc Connell has now returned to Liverpool and Taylor's transfer confirmed.

Obviously lots of rumours at present but one I hope is positive is Seattle Sounders and NY City want Berghuis. Kroes giving this washed up injury prone has been a 2 year contract at nearly 3m pa is as bad as any Mislintat signing .Avila, Akpom were his worst signings.

As he is a contracted player I will post here. Laase Abildgaard U19 youth and Danish winger who has appeared for Jong this season has left and joined Willem Tilburg .Another young Dane who came under a big talent banner and not lived up to the hype.
