Lindgren being back makes a difference. Unsung player but was it a coincidence that we have been crap whilst he was injured??

Lindgren had a very bad start this competition, didn't play well at all. If he is playing well, and today he played definitely okay, he is an important player for Ajax.

Highlights are already on official site. We should have won at least 5-0 with all those chances.

I'm not saying we were fantastic or anything, but this Feyenoord team is seriously, seriously shit. They have two rocket-fast guys on the wings, but they just can't launch them. They're not doing anything with the qualities they have. Roy Makaay looks like someone who never played a game of football before. Their defence... Jesus...

I think Maarten Stekelenburg had to stop one shot (from Wijnaldum in the first half). It wasn't even a difficult one. Not very dangerous, really. And I think that was it. Did they have one proper attack in the second half? One moment that even remotely looked like a scoring opportunity? A shot on goal even...?

Feyenoord have 24 points now, but ADO Den Haag (15th on the table) are only two points away. The relegation zone really is quite close and if Feyenoord continue to play this way... Volendam look like a much better side at the moment and that's not even a provocation or anything like that.

According to the video from Ajax TV, it seems it was quite an enjoyable game. Even if feyen@rd tried to play catenaccio.

Yes, I guess it was - over all.

The first half was a bit boring, though: Feyenoord were crap from the beginning to the end, but Ajax were visibly nervous in the first half - and they were afraid to take risks. It was all a bit slow and predictable. There was one dangerous shot from Wijnaldum (save from Stekelenburg) - and that was it, from a Feyenoord perspective. Ajax had two or three good shots in the first half (well saved by Timmer), including one from what was probably the only truly fluent, one-touch attack of the first half. Timmer punched it from under the cross-bar.

Ajax were bolder and more aggressive in the second half and almost immediately it started to 'rain' chances: Suárez should have been awarded a penalty just before Vermaelen scored, Ajax hit the woodwork four (!) times, two players had a free passage to Timmer... it was amazing. Ajax could have won 5-0 or 6-0, based on the second half alone.

The second half was an enjoyable affair. Quicker and more lively than the first half.
Even if feyen@rd tried to pay catenaccio.
Seriously, I don't think they had a clue what they were doing. They did not seem to have a plan whatsoever... They really were shockingly poor.

Good to see Ajax win again.
However, I feel some sympathy for Feyenoord. They are historically a big, important club in Holland, and being close to the bottom isn't where they should be. Well Ajax isn't where it should be either...

Due to recent small riots, authorities decided that the Ajax - feyedr@ne games will be played without any away fan for the next 5 years.

That's bullshit. I hope that decision is reversed.
