KNVB Cup, second round!

Ajax had a free passage through the first round. In the second round they travel to the coastal town of Noordwijk, on the North Sea. The local football club, VV Noordwijk, is in the Saturday Topklasse. That's the third tier of Dutch football, between Jupiler League (a.k.a. Eerste Divisie) and Hoofdklasse.

Match will be played at Duinwetering sports park in Noordwijk. Kick-off time is 18:45 CET.

Hope to see V Rhijn or even Denswil get a game in defence .Would be nice to see a left back from the youth but the only Jong who can play LB is Koppers and the A1 LB is Dijks who is injured. Lukoki and Lodeiro should both start

Jesper Cillessen come on down !!! If what I've read is correct, it looks like the new number two's (no , not Dhani Harrison's band of same name. Dhani is son of George.) time to shine .

Hmmm, I thought more first team players would be out of the selection. Maybe FdB is afraid of VV Noodwijk????

Sigthorsson is injured so is Rits thus Enoh,who has not had much playing time is the only outfielder rested. Interesting to see de Sa the young A1 right winger included.

Glad that V Rhijn is included but as Blind is our only fit left back,and is poor, thought that Dico Koppers of our Jong would have been in as he plays left back and also why not give Denswil a chance to at least sit on the bench .

Sigthorsson isn't really injured, just being rested for the Twente and Real games.
Enoh is banned for one match.

Looking forward to seeing some of the young players in action tonight.
