Ajax travel to Warsaw for an evening match against Legia. I don't know if they have covered arena and the weather should be right around 0C with rain predicted. Don't know much about the Polish team and I think the league may still be on winter break.

Hey SPL time to make some last-minute Amsterdam plans!

On Tuesday 21 February Ajax Under 19 plays in the UEFA Youth League a home game against Dynamo Kiev. Two days later you can continue attending football in a great atmosphere with Ajax Amsterdam - Legia Warsaw.

@Cruiff - I thought you would be on your way to Warsaw today!!

Not sure my wife would be happy if I pushed off to Amsterdam so soon. I will plan a game in September/October, my wife is happy with that as she loves the city and would love to come over when its a bit warmer. She wants to go to beautiful Edam again.( Back in December she suggested we could get a bus there but I pointed out it was freezing cold ,dark at 5 and Edam being in the wilds of Waterland would be even colder)

Nope unfortunately no Warsaw for me. I know the city quite good and the beautiful Krakow even better.

If I'm correct Thijs is now in Krakow drinking some beers after he did visit Auschwitz this Wednesday afternoon.

Then for him Thursday Warsaw, followed by a ride back with the rental car, another day in Krakow and a flight back to Holland. Some journeys of this life can be good.

I MIGHT BE THERE!!! We are going to Ireland in June (have a wedding in London to attend) and have been talking about a fall trip. My wife wants to visit her cousins in Israel and doesn't like the long flights from the US any more so we talked about a stopover in Europe and I mentioned Amsterdam. We would likely leave the first week in October so I'm anxiously waiting for next season's fixtures to come out so I can plan accordingly. We'll probably be in Amsterdam for 10 days so I would like to take in a Jong Ajax match as well!!!

Don't make too long term plans lads.

SPL you're wife will appreciate a nice visit to cities like Brussel or Antwerp. Or be a romanticus, spend 1 or 2 days with her in Paris and within a couple hours the train brings you to Amsterdam.
Thijs or I will then arrange a ticket for the Europa League.

And in case in April Ajax is still in this to play the quarter final or the semi final you will cross or 'underpass' the sea in April, right?

Told my wife about the above and hope to come in October.Her response we could go in April or May so she can see the tulips ,and get to Edam. She knows I now plan to watch Ajax at home every year so will work on this.

PS.Amsterdam is a far more beautiful and romantic place than Paris.

That shot from Klaassen was over the line. Could be costly, but Legia don't look strong so we'll get more chances.

I agree with Orange about Klaassen's ball skills, not really good enough for a classic #10. But he is good in and around the box. Maybe he'd be more suited to the 2nd striker role in a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2.

PS you guys are making me miss Europe. At least this game is at a reasonable time for me, most of the Eredivisie games are at 2:30 a.m. on Monday mornings NZ time!

Any good streams to watch the game?

Anderlecht 2 goals up vs Zenit. The later in the season to play Russians the better. Saying still goes.

Ajax is the better team but missed three big scoring chances now. Such a bummer, one or two away goals and the tie is basically decided.

Well we can't complain about Klaassen's chance because he scored it. Ziyech's miss was worse, but that's Ziyech, he doesn't seem to care. He either stands around until someone takes the ball off him or blasts it into the stands from 35 m.

Klaassen scored? Was it ruled out?

Club had some chances but either poor finishing or good saves from the Legia keeper kept the ball out. Klaassen is playing well. Sanchez has had some very bad moments and Sinkgraven wasn't thinking when he turned the ball over. Schöne has been invisible.

Missed the first 10mins BT coverage did not start on time and I was eating. Ziyech and Dolberg should both have scored. At least I know why Veltman plays regularly at RB. Traore seemed to be back at RB a few times.

He hit a volley from around the penalty spot that the Warschau keeper caught and then carried over the line as he fell to the ground. It looked a goal live and there was one replay that showed it clearly. It wasn't given.

Dolberg also had a great chance but it all happened quickly and he blasted it over.

All Legia's chances are coming from Ajax players casually giving the ball away. Almost everyone's had a go. Frustrating.
