Amidst all the interest about Ajax's attempt to qualify for the CL group stage, we cannot overlook the start of the new Eredivisie season. Ajax have three matches in August and the opener offers the strongest of the three opponents. In recent years, Ajax have stuttered out of the blocks and let's hope that this year is different. ten Hag has a deep enough roster that he can rotate players if there are an additional two CL qualifying matches this month.

I'll miss the opener as we will be out of town on Saturday so there will be no player ratings.

Been out for the day watched from 63 min (good stream at cricfree) Oh dear 2 points dropped sorry but thats 2 draws in a row down to Mazraoui is not a defender and Onana should have done better. We need to go and buy a RB who knows how to defend. Lots of pressing and thankfully de Ligt got the point.

Hope de Ligt is fit for Tuesday as we cannot keep playing MF in defence ie Frenkie and Mazraoui are not defenders and Daley is really a DM .
