Top of table Ajax travel to Lisbon to take on Benfica. Bookmakers have the Portuguese club as a slight favorite. This will be a difficult match and the team cannot afford to be wasteful in front of goal. It's good that Dolberg is finally in shape and looking dangerous but much more has to be expected from Ziyech who needs to play with better realization of what is happening around him. Everyone is in shape and should be ready for this match.

Well, first to Porto and then a fine train ride from north to southwest to reach the capital.

we need not to lose this one. a draw and we should be through.

Finally working from home this week and will be watching the game live.

Wow, cannot believe that no goals were scored. Both teams have had good chances to score. Ajax need to tighten up the defense. Schöne has been out of position on a couple of occasions. de Ligt has been great so far. I don't think Mazraoui deserved his Yellow Card.

Is your stream showing the Amsterdam replay? Mine is. this is weird. My stream stopped at the 45 minute mark and then there were a bunch of other match highlights and then it came back on after the goal was scored.

B/R Live really screwed up for me. Now they want me to pay another $2.99 to watch a match that they stopped streaming to me.

No, I paid for the match and then something happened right at the 45th minute.

Horrible first half but only behind because of a GK error and a crazy miss.

not a great game by us with woeful goalkeeping by Onana which cost a goal. We should have scored with that last action of the half

Such an awful game. Benfica's pressure really got to us and there was no control of possession at any point.

Will not complain too much but huge relief to come away with a point.

20s from the whistle, Ziyech decides to take a terrible shot at goal from way out. Very very stupid. That gave Benfica 2 really good chances at the very end.

Someone needs to talk to him.

I missed Onana's screw up as I was watching the first half of the Benfica match from two weeks ago. I knew something looked funny. Anyway, I saw the whole second half and Onana certainly redeemed himself in the 2nd half with three huge saves. great pass from Ziyech to send Tadic in for the goal that evened things up. Nice to get an away goal.

Well won point with a good 2nd half. Onana who gave away the goal made 3 great saves especially that last one.

A point is good enough as we now need to beat AEK away to qualify although Benfica have to beat Bayern to stand any chance of catching us.


Quite exhausted watching that 2nd half .

phewww. onana redeemed himself in the last second. good result, nothing more.

Disappointing that Ajax didn't win. As long as Ajax win at Home to Bayern and away to Athens, they will top the group. Benfica are as good as out.

If you see how easy after one Ziyech pass plus Tadic ball control you score that goal and how you miss the must score 1-1 in injury time of the first half you should have done much better over here.
