The year is drawing to a close with just a few matches left on the schedule. Ajax travel on Saturday to take on PEC Zwolle and are now just two points behind PSV. I have not seen any word on whether Ziyech will be ready to play in this match and of course next week Ajax host Bayern to see which team will top the group in the CL and get perhaps an easier opponent in the knockout stage.

Remaining fixtures are home to de Graafschap, a cup tie at home against Roda and then an away trip to always troublesome Utrecht to close out the year.

Only change from last week Schone back for Labyad.Dolberg has a knee problem and is missing and Danilo Pereira the Jong Ajax Brazilian striker is sub and Ziyech is also a sub.

Two injuries so far. van de Beek and Onana, yikes!

What a half,I did not get a very good stream for 20mins but de Ligt should have got a red. 2 well taken goals and we were on top.Donny must be injured and then Onana. Their goal was a bit shambolic,Lamprou and Schone between then should never have let that goal in.

Regroup at Ht get that 3rd and hopefully relax.

A comfortable win in the end but not a great game to watch. Have to hope Onana is fit for Munich , Donny is not so vital .

PEC came out playing some rough and tumble football on artificial turf, just the recipe for a problem for Ajax. A comfortable win in the end but we'll need to see how Onana and van de Beek's injuries are. Let's hope the substitutions were precautionary. Some nice goals in the match and de Jong also had a couple of stinging shots as well. The PEC goal goes into the books as a Schöne own goal. I'm not inspired to do ratings this week as we were busy around the house and I didn't see the match straight through.

Had seen the game since the 20th minute and missed De Ligt's early foul. Just saw the replay and yes it should've been a red. We all would've screamed if it this had happened against an Ajax player.

The match official maintained it was a Yellow Card and he conferred with the VAR ref who also agreed. It was good luck for Ajax that de Ligt was not sent off. It would have only been a one game suspension since it was DOGSO (direct obstruction of a goal scoring opportunity) and not an intent to injur foul.
