Big test for Heitinga's men. PSV look to have done well with transfers this summer and will be favored in this game.

Looks like we may be unchanged with our big money signings on the bench.PSV struggling a bit so would not like to predict the result although Ajax have struggled in games against the poorer sides.

Only change from Weds Rosa for Gaaei and Dolberg plays,Weghorst injured.

I haven’t seen PSV yet this season so I’m not making any predictions either. My hopes are not high!

I’m sure Berghuis would be starting too if he was available. Not a ringing endorsement of our new signings is it…

Berghuis on bench but Reeger and Klaassen in MF are poor

I fail to understand why the Dutch FA does not take a hard stance against supporters bringing flares and fireworks into the game. This would never happen in the US.

Pretty awful half of football. Godts should have scored when he danced past a couple of players and had an open shot. It also looks like our referee is letting them play much more physical than I've seen in past league games. Some pretty hard shoves would have been called as fouls last season.

Shockingly poor half. How are we still in this game. And yet they had a couple of chances to take the lead in extra time. Bizarre.

Have to do something on the left, somehow Wijndal and Godts are both getting monstered by Dest.

I know we took 12 points from PSV and Feyenoord last season but I won’t be surprised if we get zero this season. I cannot believe how awful this team looks. It’s painful.

How many headers we conceded this season?

4 headed goals conceded off crosses from our left in a row, I think. Have to do something about the LB position.

Anyway that is a great result. Oscar looks much better in the middle than on the wing.

A great result and we deserved the point.We may be struggling but they dont look much better. Gloukh was superb in the middle,Taylor a good game the other MF poor. Klaassen adds little and I am not sure Berghuis touched the ball. We need a big tall CD ,giving away so many goals from corners and crosses.And we need a LB ,Wijndal is rubbish

This has to be one of the more amazing draws in Ajax history. Outplayed the whole match and near the end, there is nothing but a team of Smurfs on the pitch. Poor defending by Ajax concedes two goals and only some good work by Jaros in goal prevented a couple of others. Ajax created close to nothing and it's clear that the long kicking upfield is just a waste as maybe Ajax only had possession one time out of at least 10 kick outs by Jaros. good to see Oscar get his goal and he should be starting from now on. One other thing I did not like was the officiating. This match looked more like a EPL match with lots of hard shoulders into players that would not have been tolerated last season. I guess they are instructed to allow more physical play.

Player Ratings:

Jaros (6.5) - two top notch saves but a lot of wasted kicking upfield (not his fault as this seems to be tactical)
Rosa (6.5) - decent and had a good intervention to prevent a shot on goal
Itakura (6.5) - had a couple of poor plays on defense and it wasn't clear whether he was at fault on the 2nd goal
Baas (6.5) - one bad play that went unpunished but otherwise good on the ball
Wijndal (4.5) - poor defending and contributed little
Regeer (5)- just an average player who never should have been bought last season
Taylor (6) - horrible defending on the Saibari goal in the first half, redeemed himself with a calm PK and better 2nd half play
Klaassen (5) - maybe his new nickname should be "Mr. Average"
Edvardssen (6) - puts in 110% every match
Dolberg (5) - did nothing and then is subbed out because of an injury
Godts (5.5)- had some very good plays along with some very poor ones, should have scored when he got past a couple of players
Oscar (6.5) - nice goal to snatch a point and I want to see him start over Klaassen
Sutalo (5.5) - on for Wijndal as Baas moved to FB and was OK
Fitz-Jim (5.5) - part of the Smurf brigade
Bertghuis (NR) - on for a late cameo
Moro (NR) - on because we needed more Smurfs!!!!

Sticking on Berghuis and lightweights F-Jim and Moro certainly weakened us and I would like to see Mokio get minutes.Konadu could have come on also.
Did think it could have been 3 or 4-1 but we got the point

Feyenoord and AZ draw so top four remain the same.

Looking at Ajax today and every game we need a quality no 6 and a LB. Wijndal is poor and Reeger is not good enough and should never have been bought. Apart from a LB and some height in Cd all our problems are in MF.

Gloukh at 10 Taylor at 8 and Mokio or McConnell at 6. The remaining 5 can go ie Berghuis ,Klaassen and v d Boomen should not be here. Reeger and Fitz-Jim not good enough,ok as subs .Bounida cannot do worse than Berghuis and Steur no worse than F -Jim.

Heitinga is a nightmare coach and hope we can finish 3rd . PSV did not impress me either.

Rosa played LB a couple of times last season under Farioli.

I don't what I saw yesterday. Both teams were shockingly poor. If Feyenoord keep their act together, they're going to easily win the title.

I honestly don't understand how Heitinga is setting up the team. He needs to get sacked ASAP.

ETH can't be that bad. At least pick the correct 11 players to start. Why are Klaassen, Wijndal, Regeer starting? Edvardsen at least puts in 100% although he's limited.

Forgot to mention that Heitinga sent in Sutalo for Wijndal and he promptly started at LCB I thought we bought Itakura for the LCB spot.

A few minutes later Itakura and Sutalo sorted it out and switched places.

Baas is injured so Sutalo starts, Rosa Reeger both out, Konadu is striker Gloukh no 10,Weghorst only sub. Just get 3 points
