Big home match against AZ who troubled Ajax last season.

If Heitinga is still in charge when this game is played we can write off our league season.AZ always do well against us and we have Twente and Utrecht following. I dont see us being in the top 4 with this clown in charge and have zero faith in our TD.

Gloom and Doom time at Ajax .

I think that Weghorst was more deserving of a penalty call than the one that Parrot got when Rosa tried to intervene. Typical for this season. Ajax were decent but Jaros did really poorly on the first goal off the corner kick. I don't know how much more of this I can take.

Well dont think we played too badly.Defence were not quick enough on the 1st and Rosa having lost the ball his momentum took him into the poor tackle.

Not sure we can really blame Heitinga for 2 defensive errors that costs 2 goals.Although I rate Mokio as a good prospect we still lack an experienced no 6 and we need a proper LB

Another mediocre performance by Ajax. Yes, they had more possession and more shots but each shot was tame and right at the keeper. I knew that Goes would annoy an Anax player into a foul and he did when Weghorst elbowed him in the chest (probably should have also been sent off). There were two curious penalty decisions, one was called against Rosa and one was not called at the other end when Weghorst was pulled down in the box. The first AZ goal was weird, poor goal keeping to start with and then the ball ends up at the only AZ player who had the possibility of a shot. Such is the season for Ajax. Not much to praise on the Ajax side other than Baas and Sutalo who were above average. I don't want to see Ajax taking players on loan any more. The ones we get seem to be no better than the ones we already have.

Player Ratings:

Jaros (4.5) - unconvincing and he will never make it at Liverpool
Gaaei (4.5) - mediocrity epitomized
Sutalo (6.5) - decent enough defending
Baas (6.5) - decent enough defending
Rosa (5) - was actually pretty good in the first half and unfortunate to give up the penalty
Mokio (4.5) - lucky not to have conceded two goals on poor passes
Taylor (5.5) - excited when he scored at the 18 second mark only to have it called back because Weghorst was way offsides
Oscar (5.5) - dances nicely with the ball at his feet but that's about it, doubt he is any better than Bounida
Edvarssen (5.5) - worked hard as always and angry at having to come off when Godts was worse
Weghorst (4.5) -let Goes lure him into a stupid foul
Godts (4.5) - mediocre despite having talked with Huntelaar
Klaassen (4.5) - please retire, you cannot play this game any longer
Moro (NR) - on with 20 minutes to go and I will be charitable and not rate him
McConnel (NR) - same as Moro and please go back to Liverpool in January as Sean Steurs is younger and better than you are
Alders (NR) - on late
Bounida (NR) - on late but had a couple of sparkling plays

Chelsea away in the Champions League and as much as it pains me to say it, I don't think they will win. Fred Grim was not the answer to the Heitinga problem. That being said, I cannot think of anyone who would even consider coming in to take over this mess of a team right now.

A poor uninspired 2nd half ,only positive Bounida should get more minutes and a lovely cross for what would have been a goal.Weghorst is a thug and should have got a red. Klaassen apart from one shot wide did nothing.Taking off Gloukh was not popular but why put on Mc Connell as Bounida is the obvious replacement.

So Twente and Utrecht away coming up plus 2 more Cl defeats. Heits will probably go in the next int break and Kroes with him .

PS wanted to say the worst 2 players were Moro and Mc Connell , but Orange clearly feels the same . Please send Mc Connell back to Liverpool , tomorrow wont be soon enough . Steur is better.I will normally cheer every Ajax player but taking a Liverpool reserve who is nothing special when we are known for our youth makes me angry.

Such a pointless team, hate to say it but Weghorst, Taylor, Moro, Godts, Gaaei etc. are all born losers. If only they would write off the season, get rid of all the junk players in the winter and just let the kids play. I think I would prefer to see that even though we would likely finish mid table.

Gloukh I’m still not sure about, he has no left foot so he’s quite easy to stop but he can be handy if he gets space to play 1-2s. Think I would also prefer to see Bounida get more time.

Strangely I don’t find McConnell that bad. Not great for sure but his technique reminds me a little of Alvarez.

Haha.. you put it mildly. Everything under 5-0 will be a gift. We are not ready for CL level. If Chelsea has the inspiration, they can absolutely demolish this fragile Ajax.

If we lose or drop points in Twente and Utrecht we will be out the top 5 and really will be playing for 3rd place although with Heitinga and Kroes running the club I fear we will see Conference League next season.
Dolberg is out for a few weeks and Konadu as back up to Weghorst doesn't score goals. Unuvar is the main youth who scores. Bounida and Steur should get playing time and Alders cannot be worse than Gaaei. Rosa wasn't too bad at LB ,better than Wijndal and unlucky with the penalty.

I am not saying Mc Connell is crap but he is not better than Steur and should not be at the club .We have our own youth. Kroes signings are no better than Mislintat's but cost a lot less.

I fear this shambles will continue to the Christmas break before action is taken.This season could end as bad as 23/24 when we were 5th.

That makes sense. I haven’t seen Steur as much as you have so I can’t compare.

However we slice it, our current lineup isn’t working and I really do not like watching the team in this state.
