I hope we see Boilesen and Ozbiliz in the starting lineup from now on. On the goal he fluffed, I think if he took it straight away instead of taking a touch he would have had his second.

What a good second half of football that was. Three well taken goals and solid defending see out a 3-0 win. MOTM for me is Eriksen who continues to show what a solid playmaker he is. Oojier and Oleguer were solid on defense never caught out of position and keeping their cool. Vermeer played well (save the bad kick that almost cost him) and shows that we have a solid replacement when St. Maarten leaves this summer. Enoh did OK but still commits too many silly fouls. Sulejmani looked like he pulled a hamstring and really, other than the free kick, was not a factor. El Hamdaoui is slow and ran out of gas in the second half. A quicker striker would have had a least one goal on the chances he had. Ozbiliz had a good match coming on for Ebecilio, who was decent beating his man but undone by some poor crosses. de Jong took the goal well but is still a man without a real position on this team. Boileson was excellent going forward and really never challenged on defense. Anita, rock solid.

Kudos to the team for not getting caught up in the Cruyffian nonsense of the past week. The Internet feed showed van den Boog going down from his seat. Maybe this is his last match as Board leader.

A so-so performance in general, terribly uneventful first half, and an incredibly lucky first goal when we had no chance of scoring! Enoh had a good match, looked better than both eriksen and de jong. The central pairing of Oleguer and Ooijer looked very good. Vermeer dumb mistakes maybe a consequence of the inactivity. We still saw flashes of fantastic reflexes. Despite beeing whistled all game by the crowd, I don't think El Hmadaoui had a bad game. Ozbiliz is proving to be quite the impact sub, and Boilesen look incredible going forward. That' it...

Seems like Orange14 and I have a couple of different visions on player perfomances today. Eriksen did some clear passes that were important going forward, but I felt he was out of the match for long stretches. I saw a lively Enoh, who managed to frabricate the foul that lad to the first goal. And despite scoring three goals in the second half, it took as a while during that half to settle in finally.

Seems like Orange14 and I have a couple of different visions on player perfomances today. Eriksen did some clear passes that were important going forward, but I felt he was out of the match for long stretches. I saw a lively Enoh, who managed to frabricate the foul that lad to the first goal. And despite scoring three goals in the second half, it took as a while during that half to settle in finally.

Eriksen's problem is he plays with two midfielders (Enoh and de Jong) who are not very good on the ball. This is a big liability for him since his only real options are either the fullbacks if they have moved up or the wingers (and I don't think Sulejmani is a real option since he puts his head down and charges into the trouble). It's the misdirection passes that Eriksen makes that set him apart (and he's only 19 years old; I don't think Snjeider was at this level at that age). As for Enoh, the only reason he is in the line up is that Anita had to play right back today. I expect that Enoh will be displaced by Anita next season; he is just to big of a liability for how this team needs to play.

Of course, nobody can argue with Eriksen¿s class. At 19 he does incredible things, way beyond his age. And yes, Enoh is terrible on the ball,and gives up a lot a fouls, but I felt he didin't do bad today, actually liked his perfomance. We'll see what a midfield with Lodeiro linking up with Eriksen can do. However, I feel that that it won't have as much balance. But what the hell, th netherland played with three attacking midfieldes and only one real defensive midfielder. so myabe its possible to find balance with two attacking midfielder.

Totally agree. He may be a twat, but he's still an Ajax player and shouldn't be whistled by his own fans.

Well I am back home now after a great weekend. Will post seperately on my weekend but will just stick to the game. A hugh thank you to Menno(Ko) and his mates Mischca and Bastien(sorry if not spelt correctly) for giving me a season ticket and looking after me . The day started with meeting them in the city at a pub and having a good chat about the club . As my wife would not let me take our expensive digital camera and I have an old mobile I took an old Olympus trip camera(makes you appreciate digital camera).This caused hugh laughter by our 3 dutch friends. We then arrived at the Arena and I was in VAK427 ,next to the Vak410.As I had to go through the same entrance as them I was body searched and bag emptied. And then that moment when you take your first sight of the Arena ,I was speachless. Finally after a million words of waffle on this site I am no longer a fraud and
I have seen my club live. Ok when "Fanfare for the Common Man " blasted out and the players emerged I can tell you all I was so emotional I had tears in my eyes This was for me the moment .

Well you all watched the game and the first half was a bit boring but things changed with the fluke Oleguer goal . The other 2 goals were well taken set up by the Danes. I had read from fans that Boilesen is a big talent and on Saturday I went to the Toekomst and he looked good as a central defender . Only at Ajax does a kid play in the youth on a Saturday and the next day is in the first team!
Ozbiliz looks a better player than Ebecilio,who probably is not quite good enough at this level at present.The 2 veteran defenders were ok but against a top attack would have been taken apart.Anita
impressed me and certainly looks as good a right back as the overrated V d Wiel. El H was whistled at by the fans every time he touched the ball . His attitude after being dropped by de Boer for Milan was very poor and his play was slow on Sunday. Imo I would not play him again he clearly should be sold in the summer.

I enjoyed every second even if it was not our best game and was one of the last to leave .I just sat there promising I will come back every year for a game .An amazing experience which I should have done along time ago .
