A great win for the Oranje last night. Bergwijn looks like being an Ajax player soon so add Cillessen and Frenkie and the Oranje is very much an Ajax dominated team.

Brobbey scored 2 goals in the U21 win over Moldova,Quinten Timber the other.Both these players could be brought back by us this summer.

Oranje 2nds won yesterday with no Ajax. This Nations League is too long and not needed.4 Ints in less than 2 weeks is a joke players do need a break.

Brobbey scored another goal in U21's win over Gibraltar and the U21's have qualified for next years U21 Euros.Rensch and Taylor both played this week.

Not really interested in the Nations Cup but Brobbey has joined the seniors ,having scored 2 goals for U21 today . 9 players from Ajax in the squad now,6 homegrown and a 7th Bergwijn was in our academy until he was 14. We are still producing footballers at de Toekomst. Gravenberch ,de Ligt and de Jong also there.

I wont watch the WC although if the Dutch get to semis or even final I may have to look .No interest in England ,overhyped all a bunch of overpaid overrated egos.

PS I cheer England in any other sport but football wise I cheer on the Oranje.I fell in love with them in 1974 ,and my football heart has never fallen out of love with Ajax or the Oranje. Yes if its a Dutch v England final I will cheer the Oranje.

Caught the last 30 mins of Dutch today ,nice goals especially from Malen. With Bergwijn playing 45 mins thats the only current Ajax player to have appeared to date. Malen from our academy but walked out at 16 to Arsenal.

Watched the semi and as my son said 2 very poor football teams. England were not too bad in the 1st half and got lucky with the penalty.2nd half was dreadful non football. Any Dutch lads reading this I wanted Netherlands to win and fell in love with the Oranje in 1974.

Lack of Ajax shows .Bergwijn for 2 x45 mins, Brobbey and Blind 3 mins each.Malen with 3 games doesn't count as he left at 16 and never played for us.

Spain should win but England are getting lucky .

Dutch U21 played England U21 last night in Almere 1-1. It was nice to see Henderson and Berghuis pictured at the game to watch Baas and Fitz-Jim ,who both played . A more famous player Jude Bellingham flew in to watch his brother and his old friend Utrecht's Noah Ohio

U21 beat Portugal 1-0 today and go to U21 euro semis. They were down to 10 men for a long time ,Taylor and Hato played.Reeger sent off in the last game.

Meanwhile U19 reached the semis of U19 Euros and ended up beating England who were Ko'd . Ugwu,Janse,Verkuijl and Konadu all playing.

England are the opponents as the beat Spain 3-1. Taylor is suspended because of YC accumulation.

U19 beat Romania 3-1 and in the final v Spain . All 4 Ajax lads started and Konadu got a goal.

U21's lost the semi 2-1 v England. Rensch and Taylor were both suspended for the game ,having been regular starters . Hato played tonight ,Reeger got 5mins.

I watched the match and England were the better team. Harvey Elliott gets a fair amount of playing time at Liverpool and is a quality player, scoring both goals. Hato had a decent game at CB. The starting MF for JO were all quite poor. The only goal was from Ohio who came on as a sub and it was his first touch after a perfect move to stay onside and he shot from 35 yards out beating the keeper. Reiziger was blamed for poor team selection (he left AZ striker Meerdink off the team) and tactics. Not much he could do yesterday with three starters missing (van Bommel was also suspended).

I watched the match yesterday and was impressed. The U-19 MF was so much better than that of the U-21 team that lost the previous day (albeit without Taylor who was suspended). Kees Smit of AZ is a classic #10 and a real talent. There were rumors that Ajax wanted to bring him over from Alkmaar but those were false. I did not see much of Verkuul in Jong Ajax matches this season but he was good in all the tournament games I watched. Uguwu had a good run as well but it seems Ajax are willing to let him go. He is a bit undersized to play CB and I he has played a lot of RB. Janse is rock solid and may back up Baas if Kaplan transfers. Konadu played hard yesterday but sometimes has a bad touch when he gets the ball in close.
