Congratulations to Telstar who beat Willem in the play offs and return to Eredivisie after 47 years. I read that they still have artificial grass and cannot play in the Eredivisie unless they get real grass.Volendam and Excelsior already having grass laid and Volendam cost about 2m and had supporters etc contribute.
Telstar have 2 months to raise money and put down grass and improve the ground.Doesn't sound like they will be ready.

Jong Feyenoord finally won the U21 league and thus play off with Jong Sparta, for a place in Div 2.(only 2 Jong sides in Div 2 Almere finished above Sparta) Once in Div 2 finish either 1st or 2nd and its either a playoff for KKD or even automatic.

Last night Sparta won the 1st leg 3-0 at Feyenoord so looks like it will be another year of U21 league for Feyenoord.

Jong Feyenoord will still be in U21 league next season . Beat Sparta 3-1 with Sparta goal 2 mins from the end . So Sparta win 4-3 overall and remain in Div 2.

F-word got smacked by Fenerbahce today and drop to the Europa League. This is generally good for the Eredivisie as F-word will likely get more points now in the EL rather than the CL. Also, we have 1 less team to split the Eredivisie CL TV pool money.

I am convinced that these fuckers (and heir fans) have a major Ajax complex. They usually give it all against us and then go back to being a mediocre team in the Eredivisie and of course in Europe

AZ would like to play Ajax 17 times and all the other teams in the league once. Rather a strange result in that AZ looked to have a lot of the injured players back in the squad. This is the worst year for Dutch teams in Europe that I can remember.

Did anyone watch NEC vs Feyenoord? Injury time equaliser for NEC and it ended 1-1. Neither team is that good and they could both drop more points, I’d say places 2–5 are still up for grabs.

The draw was the best result possible for us. Ajax still have to win out but NEC is only three points above and Feyenoord four. Garcia has two weeks now to get the team playing the way he wants. There can be no excuses now!!

I think I prefer NEC to win the cup and finish second. NEC would take the direct CL spot. The EL quals spot for the cup winner would go to whoever finishes 5th in the eredivisie. (I think that’s right based on SPL’s post last week)

I don’t think we have any business in the CL, and I don’t have much hope of getting into 3rd.

If AZ win the cup they won’t be in the playoffs, which would increase our chances, if that’s where we end up. Not a prospect I am looking forward to at all.

Just need NEC to win the cup then 5th place will be Europa qualifiers and 6th to 9th Conference playoffs.

AZ now 2-0 up in Cup so they look odds on for Europa. We need to finish 4th for Europa qualifiers. Dont think we will finish ahead of Feyenoord or Twente but hopefully NEC will continue to fade and we overtake them.Otherwise its Conference play offs and this squad is so poor we wont get through.

NEC got crushed 5-1 under a barrage of goals in the 2nd half. I think their run is over but the question is how many points they will drop going forward. The bottom line is the same as it has been, Ajax have to win out and hope other teams drop points.

Dunno if this result helps us or not. I believe AZ would be excused from the playoffs if they finish in a playoff position.

Anyway… teams in the top 6 still have to play each other so things can definitely change.

The most boring thing about the last four games will probably be Ajax’s football.

AZ in a nil-nil draw against Go Ahead Eagles which is a good result for Ajax. With a win on Saturday the will pull five points ahead of AZ.
