OM are fond of high pressure atmosphere which they sometimes create by dubious means. For this evening, here are some public statements : "je veux battre l'Ajax, assure le joueur. Van Basten, il m'a ignoré quand il était sélectionneur alors que je pensais mériter mieux. » L'Ajax est «l'ennemi juré», selon Eric Gerets. «Je n'ai jamais apprécié ce club. Et ils ne m'aiment pas beaucoup à Amsterdam. Je suppose que je serai leur invité d'honneur», avait dit Gerets au lendemain de la qualification face à Twente. Zenden en rajoute une couche : « l'arrogance est souvent du côté de l'Ajax».

Zenden "I want to beat them. Van Basten ignored me when ha was Orange's coach, and I deserved better" "They are arrogant."
Gerets (former Philips player) "They are the arch ennemy. I never liked this club. And they don't like me very much in Amsterdam."

I really don't rate Marseille high at all. I think they are a medicore team, fully beatable with a strong effort. They never impressed against Twente and if we face that same team it might even prove to be easy. They do have quality of course and the slightly better squad, they have impressed a few times this season, but I hope Marco will guide us to sinking them possibly even in France. We are not impressive either but we have proven to motivate ourselves in Europe and I believe in a good result today as well as next week. To sum up, for me Marseille are an easier task than Fiorentina and since we delivered the goods against the Italians, we are fully capable of doing so again.

Well I hope all this optimism is well placed. It's true we played very well twice against Fiorentina but I've only just about woken up after watching the Den Haag game at the weekend.

Hoping to find a stream for the game tonight, a good win and we take the Helmond Cup with us back to Holland.

I'd put some money on that scoring sequence btw. A bit of a long shot but if you're right then you'll win a small fortune
